INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES

2. Candidates are reminded not to plagiarise and to adhere to the rules and
conventions of academic writing as stipulated by the IPG.
3. Candidates are required to answer the questions individually and not to discuss with nor
copy answers from the other candidates.
4. Candidates who fail to submit the answers within the stipulated time are considered as

Answer all questions.

1. A teaching model is a plan or pattern that can be used as a guide for teachers when
planning curricula (long-term courses of studies), designing instructional materials
and guiding instruction in the classroom (Joyce and Weil, 1980). The teaching model
may be defined as a teaching blueprint.

Based on the statement above, elaborate in detail the implications of the Behavioural
Model on the teaching and learning process of teachers in the classroom.

Your essay should be 800 words.

2. Deep learning is relational learning that relates previous knowledge and experience. To
ensure deep learning takes place in the pedagogy and curriculum management in
the classroom, the relationships between teacher-content, teacher-student and
student-content need to be taken into account

Based on the statement above, discuss critically the aspect of teacher-student


relationship in ensuring that the capacity for deep learning is successfully
implemented.
