Body Movement Exercise

Perform this exercise to “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis

STEP 1
- Stand in 1st Position (heels together, toes out) with arms down at sides
- 2 – (2ct – slow) Plie, scoop arms up to center rounded in front – arms in 1st Position at mid-section
- 4 – (2ct – slow) Come out of Plie and feet back into 1st Position – arms open out into 2nd Position
- 6 – (2ct – slow) Plie, scoop arms down – arms in 1st Position DOWN
- 8 – (2ct – slow) Releve – arms continue up through center, bending at the elbows and up into 5th Position
- 10 – (2ct – slow) Stretch Releve up and open rounded arms out and then come back down feet in 1st Position –
arms should pass through 2nd Position and down to relaxed position at sides – move without pause into…
- 12 – (2ct – slow) Plie – scoop arms down and up to center rounded in front – arms in 1st Position at mid-section

- 6 – (2ct – slow) Plie – circle LT arm down, around and up to front leaving RT arm out to side – arms in 3rd Position
at Chest
- 7 – (1ct – slow) Come out of Plie – circle LT arm back into 2nd Position
- 8 – (1ct - slow) Slide LT foot in to 1st Position – Bring arms down to fall at sides (breath)

STEP 4 (repeat Step 3 but on the Right Side)


- 2 – (2ct – slow) Extend RT leg out into Tendu at RT side, point toe, DO NOT bend LT leg, DO NOT twist the hips –
arms in 4th Position (LT under, RT over) – look down over LT shoulder and stretch your RT side
- 4 – (2ct – slow) Come out of Tendu, feet in 2nd Position and look straight – circle arms in their respective directions
into 2nd Position
- 6 – (2ct – slow) Plie – circle RT arm down, around and up to front leaving LT arm out to side – arms in 3rd Position
at Chest
- 7 – (1ct – slow) Come out of Plie – circle RT arm back into 2nd Position

STEP 7
- 2 – (2ct – slow) Jump Step both feet out (LT then RT) into 2nd Position in Releve – Bring arms out into 2nd Position
- 4 – (2ct – slow) Twist upper body to RT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to RT – LT arm twisted in front of
the body at stomach – RT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 6 – (2ct – slow) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 8 – (2ct – slow) Twist upper body to LT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to LT – RT arm twisted in front of
the body at stomach – LT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 10 – (2ct – slow) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 12 – (2ct – slow) Stretch Releve up – circle arms up into 5th Position
- 14 – (2ct – slow) Cross the arms over and circle the arms down and into 2nd Position – Plie and bend at the hips to
look at ground (keep back flat) – push the arms back to stretch
- 16 – (2ct – slow) Reverse arm movement direction and Scoop (circle) arms back down at the ground – bounce the
Plie and then bring arms up through the center at the stomach and come out of Plie and slide RT foot back into 1st
Position and go straight up into Releve with arms circled up into 5th Position, continue arm motion straight and let
arms fall to sides at resting position – feet back in 1st Position out of Releve

STEP 8
- 1 – (1ct – fast) Jump Step both feet out into 2nd Position in Releve – Bring arms out into 2nd Position
- 2 – (1ct – fast) Twist upper body to RT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to RT – LT arm twisted in front of
the body at stomach – RT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 3 – (1ct – fast) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 4 – (1ct – fast) Twist upper body to LT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to LT – RT arm twisted in front of the
body at stomach – LT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 5 – (1ct – fast) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 6 – (1ct – fast) Twist upper body to RT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to RT – LT arm twisted in front of
the body at stomach – RT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 7 – (1ct – fast) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 8 – (1ct – fast) Twist upper body to LT – bend at the knees with knees pointed to LT – RT arm twisted in front of the
body at stomach – LT arm twisted behind the body at lower back
- 9 – (1ct – fast) Twist back into Releve 2nd Position – arms in 2nd Position
- 10 – (1ct – fast) Stretch Releve up – circle arms up into 5th Position
- 12 – (2ct – fast) Cross the arms over and circle the arms down and into 2nd Position – Plie and bend at the hips to
look at ground (keep back flat) – push the arms back to stretch
- 14 – (2ct – fast) Reverse arm movement direction and Scoop (circle) arms back down at the ground – bounce the
Plie and then bring arms up through the center at the stomach and come out of Plie and slide RT foot back into 1st
Position and go straight up into Releve with arms circled up into 5th Position
- 16 – (2ct – slow) Come out of Releve back into 1st Position – circle arms down to fall at sides

HOLD FOR ABOUT 8 COUNTS – SHOULD COINCIDE WITH PAUSE IN MUSIC

REPEAT ALL 8 STEPS
