Do human lives have a purpose? Does knowing the purpose of human lives help
us to determine what is morally required?

When we born in this world, do we know what our purpose? What our goal or
point of living? I don’t know; we don’t know. Others say that we are born to praise God,
to worship Him; but, how? We don’t know if God really exist. We don’t if the bible is true
and if it is all base in facts. We didn’t see God. And, why there are so many gods and
goddesses? Who is the true creator of this universe? Who? Nobody knows the truth.
Others believe, while others aren’t. Then what’s the point or purpose of this life?
The above mentioned questions are puzzling my mind. To live in this miserable
world full of pains and trials is so exhausting. Every day we repeat what we did
yesterday. We eat, take a bath, go to work or school, meet friends, go adventure, study
and sleep, and repeat. Then, what the heck? Nakakasawa na!! However, there is this
family, the love and emotion we have that hinder us to end our life, and continue living;
pursue our dreams, fulfill our goal, enjoy the life we have as we are here in this
imaginary world. Imaginary, for I therefore realized that it is not the reality as it is. We
are all passerby, nobody will live last until century or millennium. Nobody knows when is
their time (the time when to leave this cruel world), may it be tomorrow or today.
I’m a religious person with a devoted family. I was raised and taught to follow
God’s words. Through my journey and experiences, I have this doubt, wondering if all
are fake and false. But, what if we have given a purpose? What a wonderful sound to
hear it; our living will not be wasted. Try to think if all are doing this purpose. Don’t you
think we can live peacefully with love and abundance? However, if our purpose is to
steal, cheat or kill, will you follow? These kinds of purpose aren’t all moral. And, we
aren’t morally required to do that for it will ruin humanity and go to chaos. This is
unacceptable in the society. A type of purpose must be brought happiness to individuals
and the society.
As of now our purpose isn’t clear enough. To be exact, we don’t know, but, why
not to take one? Believing there is one purpose (moral purpose) and we must follow.
And, I then consider my purpose is to follow God’s words. God’s words are what inside
the bible. May it a waste if not, but, I believe I will receive this eternal life in the second
advent of Christ.
