IMPORTANT CHANGES TO HOW OUR CHILDREN START IN THE MORNING.

After half term we are changing how the children enter the school and we are trialling this new method for a
term. On Monday 28th February, children will not be expected to line up in the playground. Instead, classroom
doors will open at 8.55 am and will stay open to the start of the school day at 9.05 am. All teachers will be
in their classroom for the 10 minutes before school – children are to come into school as soon as they arrive in
the playground, hang up their coats and do some independent learning. The teacher will explain what this
means to the children.
In this way, the start of the school day will be calmer for our children, and valuable learning time will not be
wasted by lining up and walking to classes.
Please note the classroom door will close at 9.05 and any pupils arriving after that time will be registered
as late.
