Supporting Striker Play in Football

This document provides instructions for a practice drill to support front players in the final third of the field. The drill divides a 60 by 40 yard area into thirds, with goals at each end. Teams of 8 players play 4v4 in the central zone and 2v1 or 1v2 in the end zones. The goals are to practice setting up attacks through third man runs and supporting the lone striker. Coaching points include angles of support runs and passing options in the central zone to progress play forward.
