and 4 pairs of trousers while B can stitch 10 shirts and 4 pair of trousers per day, To find
how many days should each of them work and if it is desired to produce at least 60 shirts
and 32 pair of trousers at a minimum labour cost, formulate this as an LLP.

11. A company manufactures two types of sweaters, type A & B. It costs Rs 360/- to make
one unit of type A & Rs 120/- to make a unit of type B. The company can make at most 300
sweaters and can spend Rs 72000/- a day, The number of sweaters of type A cannot exceed
the number of type B by more than hundred. The company makes a profit of Rs 200/- on
each unit of type A. The company charging a nominal profit of Rs 20/- on each unit of type B.
Using LPP solve for maximum profit.
12. Show that a surface area of a closed cuboid with a square base and given volume is
minimum, when it is a cube.

OR

A metal box with a square base and vertical sides is to contain cm3. The material for the
top and bottom costs Rs 5/- per cm2 & the material for the sides costs Rs 2.50 per cm2. Find
the least cost for the box.
