Wet Installation Method Of Natural Stone
Cladding
Wet installation method which is
also known as direct adhered
method, is the most common
method used for the installation
of natural stone cladding.

Advantages Of Wet Installation
Method
It is cheaper
Requires no onsite drilling
Eliminates the chances of cracks on
wall due to drilling.
Bonds perfectly from edge to edge
leaving no space in between which
makes it look more even.

Disadvantages Of Wet Installation Method
Due to the edge to edge bonding
No room for later expansion which could result in
buckling of natural stone.
Expansion and contraction joints are always
recommended.
If the bond between the wall and the adhesive/
mortar is not intact then there are chances that the
stone can fall off.
Stone fixed with mortar may change in colour due to
absorption of water from back mortar layer.
Time consuming procedure.

Dry installation method which is also
known as mechanical installation
method uses
Embedded metal anchors and ties
for the connection purpose.
The stone required for this method
must be thick because the method
requires drilling
can increase the occurrence of

Advantages Of Dry Installation Method
The dry cladding method is safe and it prevails the stone from falling off
for years.
This method allow for expansion and contraction of stone in extreme
weather conditions.
The dry cladding method creates a gap of around 30 to 45 mm (1”-1.5”) in
between face of the wall and stone covering, providing a layer of air
cushion that acts as a thermal barrier.
The appearance of stone used in dry cladding work looks clean
and aesthetically pleasing.
Time saving procedure.

Disadvantages Of Dry Installation Method
There are chances for the occurrence of cracks on
substrate.
It is an expensive method.
Requires perfection and alertness because of the
following
If the holes are not drilled properly then it could
waste material.
It requires high skilled labour.

Aluminium cladding is one of the most used types of
cladding for building exteriors.
Aluminium is often chosen as the optimal material
for building cladding for economical, functional and
aesthetical reasons.
The cladding comes in wide range of different
cladding panels that virtually enable every building
shape and form.

The majority of aluminium cladding for the
building industry is pre-coated in coil prior
to cladding panel manufacturing.
Herewith a coating is applied to the
aluminium via the coil coating method.
This creates a protective layer on the
underlying material that protects it against
environmental factors.

Coil coating is a liquid paint system that comprises
• Topcoat,
• Back coat
• and Primers.
It is available in a wide range of colours and finishes
that can be applied to Steel / aluminium coils with
the help of rolls.
These can be cured in a minute’s time and recoiled
for delivery to end users.

Coil coating is replacing traditional ways of
manufacturing with the value added process.
An old practice of painting of the unpainted
bodies is getting substituted with percolated
Sheet metal.
Being used in
• Nip coating or Dip coating,
• solvent usage is minimal,
• helps in VOC reduction.

What makes Coil Coating different than
other Painting Method?
• Coil Coating paints are applied on flat
metal strip.
• Cured in Oven at a high temperature,
quenched with cold water and
recoiled.
• Coated coils are uncoiled, formed and
cut for final use.

Aluminium composite panels are a multilayer
sheet material.
The outer layers are made of aluminium and
the inner one is a complex composition of
polymers and mineral fillers with mechanical
properties resistant to flame.
For the production of ACPs we use
aluminium alloys that have a high hardness
and are corrosion resistant.
It allow to set mechanical properties of the
panel and makes them durable.

The right choice of initial components and
technology of their bonding provide structural
strength and are the keys to obtain a quality
product and customers’ satisfaction.
The front side of the panel is protected by a
decorative polymer coating.
The type of coating is determined based on the
requirements for the facade, as well as on the
color solutions determined by the author of the
project.

The main part of panels is produced with a coating
based on fluorinated resins, which are highly resistant
to aggressive environmental influences.
They may be easily processed using both hand tools and
special equipment.
The products made of the panels have a relatively low
weight and high durability.
Aluminium composite panels used for the construction
of ventilated facades have a full package of permits
confirming their fire safety.
