PERSONAL STATEMENT

I would like to apply for an undergraduate programme in Computer Science. I am writing to support my
application.

There are a number of reason that make Computer Science my go-to choice when it comes to choosing the
study subject. However, my main ideal of studying Computer Science is to create products, the types of product
that can bring benefits to other people, therefore creates a better community and living condition for the world.
As you can see, we live in a digital age that the computing covers everything, from scientific research to health
development, transport, banking, communications. Even objects in the daily life as microwave ovens, fridges,
or door locks are now connected to our Wi-Fi networks and personal assistants. With the fast changing
connected world, computer science is part of our future, and it is up to people to decide how it will impact and
shape our world.

According to many investigations, demand for computer and information technology occupations will leap
significantly in the next years. It will grow faster than the national average for all occupations. That means
working in computing is lucrative and rewarding careers. I am thoroughly convinced that computer science is
an excellent choice as a career with a solid future and high earnings.

Being at the competitive life, it will be great if graduating with a good degree from an prestigious and
established university. Increasingly, employers are seeking graduates with high-level computing skills, and the
ability to apply them in innovative ways to solve the problems facing their organisations. By studying computer
science, I will gain a deep understanding of algorithms and data structures, computer and network design,
modeling data and information processes, and artificial intelligence. The course will also develop management
skills such as communication, teamwork, time management and report writing. Those skills would be come
handy when dealing with task, problem as well as doing project with other team mates. This will open you me
the opportunity to build an effective career in a range of related fields in the future. After finished the study
course, I would like to work in tech company such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, working to create more
benefits to people all around globe.

I am now in rush time to prepare for the most important exam in student life. At high school programme in
Vietnam, all subjects are compulsory for students. I study from science subject as Mathematics, IT to social
subjects as Literature and History. Each subjects have a essential role for my further education. Mathematics is
actually very important in learning the basic usage of algorithms that are utilized in an advanced form
in Computer Science. Information Technology in high school draws a sketch of computer systems and
programming, networking, databases. Literature imparts with the art of reading, understanding and analyzing a
problem before coming up with a solution. History clears the way technology affect to human revolution and
how it changes the today life. All these skills might be a key to assist me explore the new environment to
pursue my dream career.

My career prospects are great although there are many challenges on the drive. But I am confident that my
enthusiasm combining with a strong determination and motivation, will enable me to succeed.
