OVER VIEW :
The tour was arranged by the Department of Industrial Engineering UMT on Monday march 4
2019 .This tour was by facilitated by the well know Engineering firm “DESCON”.
Miss Munium Shukat and Sir Rehaan Ashraf leaded the teams of students .

Activities during visit :


 Reaching time 11:00 from Umt main campus .
 Supervisor MR Abbas guided us throughout the whole visit .
 We visited machine shop where different machining operation were carry out by the
help of different machines and equipments.
 Pipe fabrications and sheets making process were carry out in the machine shop .
 Rolling mills of different specification/dia were present over there like 45 and 100 mm .
 Sand casting and galvanization process were also part of process .
 We observe extreme emphases on safety of workers in the firm .
 All other rules were followed accordingly .
 We observed neat and clean environment over there .
Basically the visit was arranged for the purpose that students get awareness of the
environment in industry ,the process carried out there and what is important for the industrial
engineering student in that firm .
