Hippie subculture: what remains and prevails

The hippies born in the 60s in the United States, derived from those injustices of the
Vietnam War, emerging as a pacifist movement, consider the individual free from pressures
by society, faced with the limits to freedom of expression, sexual freedom, standards of
conduct and dress. This subculture always proposed as a way of life, for people to be passive,
away from wars and promoting love and peace anywhere. In order to achieve a better society,
without violence or use of force.

And who would have thought that this movement was going to be influenced and
driven by youth and inspired by many other urban tribes. Thus, this movement spread
throughout the world, fleeing violence, experiencing living life in an intense and harmonious
way with nature. Unfortunately, many to be able to live as they pretended they ended up
seeking bodily pleasures and drugs, moving away from the true end of the hippies.

Like everything in this world, everything has its good side and its bad side, and in this
case, multiple positive characteristics of the hippie subculture can be highlighted, such as
people without fear that others will think of them, they estimate themselves with equal
thoughts, They are always in love and peace, free people and quite aware with respect for the
environment and defend it. On the other hand, there is something particular and criticized by
this group and it is the uncontrollable and excessive use of drugs, becoming addictive without
an alternative, they believed that this way would encourage creativity and innovation in
various artistic expressions.

Thus, hippies can be identified in a very particular way and through symbols is by
their appearance and the music. They are people used to dressing in loose clothing with bright
colors and sandals. They wore very long hair with braids or ribbons. That is the outfit that
characterizes hippies. It was a rebellious way of dressing that implied a disagreement with the
established and social restrictions.

Hippie clothing is a fashion that has not yet disappeared, today it is still used a lot,
even so it has not always been welcomed by some more conservative sectors. However, with
the passing of time and with the entry of new technologies, hippie fashion has resurfaced and
will continue to be around for a long time.
What will happen to hippie fashion? It will continue to impact most of the world,
from those people who know the true values ​of hippie culture, other people will follow,
because that's how human beings are. The manufacture of his style of clothing, highlighting
the colors in worn and colorful tones, which incorporate the hippie symbols, those related to
peace and love. People both children, youth or adults will want to have an image that shows
the aesthetics and philosophy of life of the hippies. In addition, we must recognize other
aspects that will continue to present that were characteristic of hippies, such as their positive
attitudes, high concern with the environment and the hope of reducing formalities in different
aspects of life.
