Reflection Essay

Throughout the semester I believe I did see improvement in my writing, particularly in the white
paper and the workplace correspondence. I think that the ability to write papers or emails in a
formal setting will be important for my chosen career because those seem like tasks that will be
required from me on a daily basis. I can not think of any assignments that would help in the
course but for the later assignments possibly extending the period to turn in the final papers to
Saturday instead of Friday because I received some of my peer reviews late in the day and was
waiting on those people on a Friday night to complete my assignment.
My goal for this course was to improve my technical wring skill because in the past writing has
never been one of my strong suits. Even though I feel like I have a way to go, I believe that this
class has given me skills and practices from each of the assignments that I will be able to take
and use in my future papers or correspondences. Examining the way to writing each assignment
then having feedback from both other students and then the professor were the main things that
helped me in this course.
The white paper assignment is probably the one I was most proud of because the topic I choose
was not a very good fit for the assignment specifications and I was still able to come up with
enough information to complete the assignment.
