4. Discussion
“The Ant and the Grasshopper”
Once, it was a beautiful
spring day. A grasshopper is
singing, dancing and enjoying
the spring day. Suddenly, an
ant passed his way. This ant is
very hard working. The ant,
with all the hard work and
effort, was taking a particle of
corn home. Then the
grasshopper said, “Instead of
walking all day, why don’t you
come, sit and talk to me.” The
ant was very intelligent. The
ant said, “I am gathering food
for the rainy days. You should
also do the same. What will
you give to your family to eat
during the rainy days?” The
grasshopper replied, “I have lot
of food right now. Why should
I think about the rainy days?”
But the ant was very smart. She
did not pay any attention to
what grasshopper saying. She
gathered more and more food
before the rain comes.
One day, it suddenly
started raining. The rain came
much earlier than expected.
The poor grasshopper doesn’t
have any place to stay and any
food to eat. The grasshopper
went to the ant for help. The
ant reminded him of what he
said earlier. But the ant is very
helpful. She offered him some
food to eat and a place to stay.
And that is the end of the story
about “The Ant and the
Grasshopper”.
