Men’s Style Trend Concept S/S 21
● Transform - where Designs reconcile past and present, light and dark & nature
and technology to create a sustainable fashion concept for the future.
Main features of Men’s fashion S/S 21-In the trend of S/S Men’s fashion 21
“Transform” we found that menswear moves in this Direction where designs combines
technology with nature to create a sustainable fashion look.
● Smart looks will get smarter: In general, smart casual
means neat chinos or a pair of dark-colored jeans with a
shirt, a blazer and a pair of leather shoes. Your outfit
should be well-fitting but slightly less formal than a
business casual business professional style.
● Lighten garment’s layers: Lightweight fabrics and garment’s constructions is
the key for summer utility looks and layered style. Here, transparency trends can
be created with technical sheers and layered photo prints.
● Be proactive with sustainability: Here we see trends for utility clothing for
sustainable fashion. For example: Safari jacket, Cargo pant and chore jacket.
● Design customization and up cycling: It is observed that taste for
customization and up cycling fashion is growing within menswear –especially for
Technical utility clothing.
.
● Trans formal wear:
Younger generation’s moves from street wear to tailoring and
hybrid looks. Functional features in formal wear are taken
from sports wear. Such as the blazer with high-performing,
moisture wicking or anti-crinkle fabrics.

X-Ray Vision
This theme shows a hyper-modern perspective on casual and sportswear
styling by exploring layered transparency
● Here silhouettes for shirts, shorts should be lightweight with layered
prints and printed sheer fabric.
Suggested theme:
● Photogram techniques
● Digital prints with alien textures
Outdoor Oddity

● Classic heritage materials
▪ Neo classical Suggested theme:
● Classic costume
● Street wear
Confident check: Focus on classics with a twist – think huge scale bicolor ginghams,
amplified madras, and classic tartan checks, updated or subverted with mismatched panels,
heavier yarn interest, or smoother, more technical sporty looks.
Customized color: Use simple fabrics such as lawns, cambric’s drills, twills and
chambrays, and take a sustainable approach to color. Example include emulating dip-dye and
bleach laundries using photographic printing; using up waste dyes; hand-printing and roller-
printing with eco and vegetal dyes; also we get to see more customized colors.
Reflective Shine:
Create simple bicolor tonic fabrics with more laundered taffeta touches, and develop softer
twill and satin weaves for a relaxed but luxurious hand-feel. Use reflective inclusions to give
fabrics a changeable character under different lighting conditions. Breathable, rain-proofed,
packable and washable benefits are a must here.
Start-up uniform: Combine classic tailoring, denim and work wear to create a new
everyday office uniform, which feels smart without adhering to specific dress codes.
Soft-focus geometrics: Geometric tile patterns will move beyond their traditional
territory of neck wear and vintage shirting to make waves in sports and street wear.
Hyper camouflage: Experiment with a mixed-media jacquard approach by overlaying
classic twill and herringbone visuals with camouflage and animal-skin motifs (for example,
leopard and zebra). Similarly, and prints and embroideries to classic camouflage patterns for a
thrifty mix and match collaged approach.
