2. Are there private schools with outstanding science education programs?
Identify and compare their science education programs with public science
schools.
-St. Scholastica's College
-De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute
-Private schools are not government funded and rely on other means of
funding, such as endowments and donations. This means that tuition can
be higher for a private school than a public one.
3. Indigenous science relates to both the science knowledge of long‐
resident, usually oral culture peoples, as well as the science knowledge of
all peoples who as participants in culture are affected by the worldview
and relativist interests of their home communicate.
4. What are examples of indigenous science practices?
-Indigenous knowledge systems (IKS) comprises knowledge developed
within indigenous societies, independent of, and prior to, the advent of the
modern scientific knowledge system (MSKS). Examples of IKS such as
Ayurveda from India and Acupuncture from China are well known.

5. Why do some people believe in indigenous science?


- Because these kinds of people are generally believe that all the things
around them are naturally created. There are some people that their beliefs
are everything is made by God.

6. Do you think indigenous science should be considered science?


- Yes, because this indigenous people have contributed to the science
however their some contribution is unconsciously discovered by them.

7. What is the role of indigenous science in the development of science and


technology?
- The role of indigenous people in development of science in technology
when it comes to the natural resource or natural related like minerals, they
have been useful during those days.

8. How do you describe your school?


- School is an institution that use to educating or teaching students

9. Is there any projects of your school that involves society and


technology? Give us an explanation.
-Yes, apparently what we are doing (Online teaching/Online class) is a
project that have an big involvement in society and used of technology.

10. What Science school you want to go to and why?


-De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, because there is a part
of me that I want to learn about the illness and how to cure it and I think this
institute will be fit to me if I am given a chance.

1. Narrate the science-related issues and problems in the country

- For me as a student, the number one problem that I most encountered is


the Research accessibility. With this problem I am not giving enough
research related in my papers due to this problem that we have. The next
one is the poor connection; this is commonly the most annoying problem
for us students. Especially now that we have online class and online
schooling we most feel the problem with this situation same on our
professors

2. Identify science and technology policies that could be adapted or


implemented in the Philippines

-The 12 broad R&D priority areas under the NSTP include the following:

Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources, Health/Medical Science,


Biotechnology, Information and Communications Technology,
Microelectronics, Earth and Marine Sciences, Fisheries and Aquaculture,
Environment, Natural.

3. Identify Filipino indigenous knowledge


-Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs)
Based on my understanding, this knowledge is the local knowledge that
developed over centuries of experimentation and pass generation to
generation. It was totally connected to our natural resources like
managements and conservation and how to take care with it.

4. Research on the connection of indigenous knowledge to science and


technology.

- Indigenous people have been responsible for the huge contribution in


science. Moreover Indigenous science incorporates
traditional knowledge and Indigenous perspectives, while non-Indigenous
scientific approaches are commonly recognized as Western science.
