Solar Energy,
What is it?
- Solar Energy is energy produced by the sun.
- There are two types of solar energy :
Thermal Energy and Electric Energy
Thermal Energy
- Produced when a rise in temperature causes atoms and
molecules to move faster and collide with each other.
Thermal Energy is measured by its temperature.
Electric Energy
- Caused by moving electric charges called electrons. The
faster the charges move, the more electrical energy they
carry. Electric Energy uses the power of the sun to produce
electricity through solar cells, also known as Photovoltaics
(PV)

coverage, allowing every country
usage.
