BSL-2 Facility in a mobile container required


Clean room of BSL equired specifications:

 Dimensions of container Length 20 20-25 ft Width 8-10 ft Height 8-9 ft


 Flooring: Vinyl or Epoxy coated 2 2-4mm
4mm thickness for easy cleaning
 Wall & Ceiling: Standard wall partitions with two skins of PPGI/PPGI (0.6-1mm
thickness) over GI frame work with a sealed and insulated interior or Fabricated
with 2-3 mm CRCA SheetSheet. Should be painted with anti-microbial

 Covings for entire wall to floor, wall to wall & wall to ceiling joints to be provided.
 Airtight clean room doors: Flush Door finishes to be 50 mm thick 1.2-1.4 1.2 mm
thick PCGI sheet suitable to fix on 50 mm thick wall panel with provisions for
double glazing glass for all door. Dimensions (900-950) 950) x (2100-2200).

 Room pressure maintaining system: Change room pressure should be
maintained at 10 10-15 pascal while BSL-2 Lab should be maintained at 25-30
pascal.
 HVAC system or AHU with HEPA filter (Retention: 0.3 Micron Efficiency:
99.997% Pressure drop: 25 mm of W Water column) with booster fan, AC (Nos 3),
condenser, blower.
 A Fumigator needs to be provided
 Electricals: All the required cabling, switches
switches,, arrangements etc. for the purpose
of energizing the BSL BSL-2+ Laboratory facility needs to be provided. All the
electrical fittings and fixtures in the laboratory areas should

 Loft water tank 01 and effluent water tank 01 to be provided
 The effluent water tank should be treatable so that when the effluent goes to
ground water it is free from contaminants.

to be provided
 Fire alarm system to be provided
 10KVa UPS with battery should be provided.
 Miscellaneous items to be provided: The change room should have shoe racks
(2), Shoe cover dispen ser unit (1), stainless steel gowning cupboard (600-
dispenser (
650mmmm W X300mm D X 1500 1500-2000 mm H with UV Lamp), stainless steel paddle
dustbin, used linen bin and an autoclave (50L).
