Engineering department for our report. This report is based on the facts and figures regarding the
job fair and the feedback of the HOD-EE, mentor EE and the companies that attending the event.
We also asked the ushers as well as the participants i.e. the students who took part in the job fair
about the environment of the event, their experience and how the companies interacted with them.
The report discusses how well the event was organized. There were ushers who were from the
junior batch 2014 of FAST-NU, fulfilling the responsibilities of hosting of the event. Job fair
started on time and ended in time. The whole organizing team, Head of the Department (EE) Dr.
Waseem Ikram, mentor Sir Aamer Hafeez, and others really worked hard and were well satisfied
by the outcome of the event.
The report also includes the overall preparations, the organizing body and event in detail. It also
adds how the companies were approached and what were the measures that had been taken to make
the event a successful one.
After the event was about to end, we interviewed the HOD-EE, mentor and company executives to
give their precious feedback about the organization of the job fair, the projects being displayed and

Introduction
The purpose of this report is to inform the prospective readers about the electrical engineering
job fair 2017. In order to cover the whole event, we wrote an application to the placement office
for seeking permission to attend the event. We also asked them to provide us with the facts and
figures regarding the job fair. After the approval, we were allowed to attend the event.
The job fair was held on 5th April, 2017 and was organized by the electrical engineering
organizing team. This was conducted in order to reduce the gap between the students and the
industry. Final Year Projects were displayed in the EE lobby and the students were addressing
their respective projects. Ushers were fulfilling the responsibilities of hosting the event. The
environment of the job fair was very professional. The employers took round of the whole area
and asked the students technical questions regarding their projects. After that, companies were
allotted rooms for their recruitment drive and selected students were interviewed there.
There was a lunch break at 2 pm for the companies as well as the organizing team. The
companies were escorted to the marquee by the ushers. After that the ushers were also asked to
have lunch. When the break was over, the recruitment drive was again started.
In this way, the university has committed to achieve, maintain and continuously improve technical
excellence, ethical values and overall development of student's community.

Commencement of Electrical Engineering Job Fair 2017
Job fair was held on 5th April, 2017 in electrical engineering department, first floor lobby

Before the arrival of the company executives, the organizing body was well prepared

order to create professional environment. The rooms were vacated and the furniture was

all the students of graduating batch. There was a lady sitting on the front desk for
announcements regarding the interviews with a microphone and a proper system was deployed
for this task so that there is no mismanagement. University also arranged lunch for the company

Recruitment Process
7
The recruitment drive started at sharp 9 am i.e. the event was on time. The company
executives collected the bags containing the graduating directory from the front desk and then
they were assigned an usher for their protocol and assisted them till the end of their visit. The
ushers made them visit each and every project where the respective students some technical
questions and the motivation behind the project. The students were to defend their projects
effectively in order to grasp the attention of the employers.
After the survey of the projects in the lobby, the ushers escorted the companies to different
rooms allotted to every company. In the rooms the companies put there banners and posters on
the walls, and managed the rooms according to their requirements. Finally, they called upon the
names of the selected students on the basis of the survey of the Final Year Projects and
questions and answers session. The list of screen out students was provided to the lady who was
sitting at the front help desk for announcements. She announced those names after specified
time. The student then visited the company that called in the room
After coming out of the room, we asked the interviewee about their interview. Her reply was:
"---------------"
We also asked the interviewers about their criterion of selecting the students. One of them said:
"--------------------".
Few of the companies opened up for walk-in interviews. In walk-in interviews all the students
are invited to give interviews and try their luck. It gives students a bright chance to attract the
interviewers through their personality and communication skills.
Feedback

Headings are 14 points, flush left, and boldfaced. Use initial capitals. A good typeface
for the heading is Arial, because it holds bold facing well. To preserve hierarchy, allot three line
skips before the heading and two line skips after. At least one paragraph should follow a
heading before a subheading exists.
Another formatting consideration concerns the incorporation of figures and tables.
Shown in Figure 1 is a common format that serves reports well. Note that the word figure is not
abbreviated. In a single column document, such an abbreviation makes no sense. A period is the
powerful piece of punctuation—its primary use is to end sentences. Do not dilute its power by
having it do menial tasks such as saving three letters from a word that is short to begin with.
Following standard convention, the formal introduction of Figure 1 occurred in the text
before the figure appeared. In the introduction of an illustration, using pointers such as below or
on the next page is undesired. Your technical reader knows where the illustration is supposed to
be placed—after the paragraph that introduces it or on the next page if not enough space exists
below the paragraph. Note that you should not break paragraphs in a Microsoft Word document
to insert an illustration. To distinguish the figure caption from the text, you should place the
figure caption in a smaller typeface, as was done in Figure 1. Recommended for the line spacing
of the caption is single spacing. For the caption, a nice touch is to place the name in the bold
sans serif of the headings and have the caption’s text in the serif typeface of the chapter’s text.
As is common in reports, the caption begins with a phrase and is followed by a sentence (or
two) that explains unusual details.
Tables are presented in a different fashion. For instance, Table 1 presents an example.
The heading for the table goes above and is 11 points. The heading is a single phrase. If there
are unusual details, those are explained in footnotes beneath the table. Note each line skip above
and below that separates each illustration and its caption (or heading) from the text.

Times New Roman (on a Macintosh, Times would a comparable choice). Book Antiqua would
also be a professional choice, especially for the single column format of a thesis. On a
Macintosh, comparable typefaces to Book Antiqua are New Century Schoolbook and Palatino.
In industry, the typical line spacing for a report is single spacing.
Conclusions
This section summarizes the document and provides closure. The difference between
this summary and the summary that you write on the title page is that the summary in the
“Conclusion” is for someone who has read the report.

Appendix A:
Title of Appendix A
Titles of appendices are 14 points, flush left, and boldfaced. Use initial capitals. A good
typeface for the heading is Arial, because it holds bold facing well. To preserve hierarchy, allot
three line skips before the heading and two line skips after. Illustrations in this appendix are
labeled Figure A-1, Figure A-2, Table A-1, Table A-2, and so forth. Note that each appendix
begins on a new page. Also note that each appendix should be introduced somewhere in the text
portion of the report.
