NORTEL MERIDIAN i2002 TELEPHONE QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE

DIALING FORWARD
To make an outside call: To forward calls to another extension:
* Lift handset * At idle phone, press "FORWARD" key
* Dial "9" and the number * Dial the destination number
* Press "FORWARD" soft key
To make an internal call:
* Lift handset To cancel forwarding:
* Dial the 4 digit extension * Press "FORWARD" soft key

HOLD To reinstate the last call forwarding:


To place a call on hold: * Press "FORWARD" soft key twice
* Press the "HOLD" key
* Hang up handset HANDS FREE / MUTE
To generate a call without lifting headset:
To reconnect with the call: * Press "LINE" key or "HANDS FREE" key
* Lift handset
* Press flashing "LINE" key To mute the mic during a conversation:
* Press "MUTE" key
TRANSFER
To transfer a call to another extension: To switch to hands-free mode:

On your first log on session, you must perform the following items below:
1) Dial 3999 or press the message key on your telephone.
2) Enter your mailbox (same as your extension number), then #.
3) Enter initial password (12 + mailbox number), then press #.

Change Password (84)


1) Press 84.
2) Enter a new password, then #. Passwords must be 6 or more digits long.
3) Enter new password again, then #.
4) Enter old password again, then #.

Personal Verification (829)


1) Press 829.
2) Press 5, and then say only your name and mailbox number. (This is not your greeting).
3) Press # to end, press 4 to return to main menu.

Caller Greeting (82)


1) Press 82.
2) Select [1] External, [2] Internal or [3] Temporary Absence greeting.
3) Press 5, then record.
4) Press # to end, press 4 to return to main menu. If you made a mistake while recording
press 76 to delete what you recorded and go back to step 3.

Hint: You do not need to record both an external AND internal greeting.
If you record only one it will play for all callers.
