The facilities included in AMU's community hall booking are the ground floor and the lawns. The first floor hall is optional for an extra charge. Additional rooms in the University Guest Houses are not provided, nor is any unauthorized cooking area allowed outside designated zones .
AMU policy prioritizes bookings for marriages of university employees' children, their own marriages, and certain personal functions like birthdays. If the booking is for non-designated people or events, the university reserves the right to take action, including potential penalization of the booking person .
Parties must contact the University's Electricity Department before the marriage to ensure a regular electricity supply. Additionally, they must provide their own generator for the central air-conditioning, as it will only run on this power source. Charges for the electric connection need to be deposited with the Electricity Department, AMU by the party booking the hall .
AMU ensures adherence to the terms of booking through several measures: confirmation of eligibility with proof by a Dealing Assistant, the requirement for applicants to read and agree to terms and conditions, and the provision to forfeit the entire security money for specific violations such as unauthorized use, disturbance of peace, or any damage .
AMU reserves the right to cancel community hall reservations if a university function is planned on the booked date. Penalties include total forfeiture of the security money for using music, fireworks, unauthorized activities, damage to property, and for cooking outside designated areas. Actions would be taken against non-designated bookings .
To book the community hall for a marriage event, the cost is Rs. 25,000 for the ground floor and lawns, with an additional Rs. 5,000 for the first floor hall if required. A security amount of Rs. 10,000 is required, refundable after an inspection, plus a mandatory Rs. 1,000 cleaning charge .
Use of music and entertainment activities like fireworks are strictly regulated and can lead to disturbances. Violations result in forfeiture of the security deposit and may lead to further penalties if university guidelines are not adhered to, aiming to maintain peace and respect for the environment .
AMU's policy clearly states that any damage caused to the Guest House property during events needs to be repaired by the applicant or else the security deposit will be used to cover the costs. Additionally, if the damages exceed the security deposit amount, the party responsible will be charged extra as per rules .
AMU stipulates that cooking should only take place in designated areas and prohibits cooking utensils inside halls. Food must be served in service bowls or chafing dishes sans fuel due to the central air-conditioning constraints .
Booking parties must report to the Receptionist of Guest House No.01 after the end of their function to ensure all protocols are followed. Failure to do so could result in the forfeiture of the security deposit .
