Camel Adaptations for Desert Survival

The document discusses several key adaptations that allow camels to survive in desert environments. It describes how camels have two rows of eyelashes to protect their eyes from sand, nostrils that can close to keep out blowing sand, fat stored in humps to survive without food or water, thick fur and underwool to regulate temperature, thick skin on their knees to prevent burns, and broad flat feet that spread their weight to prevent sinking in sand. These adaptations enable camels to thrive in hot, dry desert conditions.
