REEL WRITER
Imagine you are hired to become a writer for a famous movie company. You are
tasked by the Director to write a highlight scene for the upcoming movies he will
make. Remember that writers use effective communication skills in expressing
their emotions. Be sure it will reflect on your scenes.
Instructions: Using the learnings that we got from the previous activities, below
are movie titles that will give you a hint what it is all about. What you have to do
is to write the actors’ lines and use appropriate communicative styles needed for
each scene. Refer to the sample scene below.
Jenny: You know how this makes me feel. But as your true friend, I also want you to be
happy. And I guess he makes you happy. Does he?
Ericka: Very much. I hope you could understand us. I don’t want to lose the both of you.
Jenny: It hurts but I don’t want to see my only best friend suffer because of my
selfishness. I can see that you are both in love with each other. Who am I to oppose? From
now on, I will support the both of you. I cherish our friendship more than this silly feelings
I have for him. I’m sorry for earlier Ericka.
Ericka: I am really sorry too, Jenny. Thank you so much for choosing to forgive me. I love
you best friend!
