Subject: Picnic with cousins
Dear Hakim,
Glad to hear from you. I love your ides of going for a picnic with all our cousins.
I would suggest Bukit Aup because there are many shady spots by its beautiful lake.
In this big park, we can jogging and play board games. Your sister can even take photos.
There are a few things we need to bring - the games, food and drinks, and a picnic mat. Let me
make a list.

MODEL ANSWER 2
To : Rania@ [Link]
Subject: How to do well in exams
Hello Rania,
I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t do well in the our mid-year examination. However, don’t worry
too much. There is still time to improve. Firstly, try to study consistently. Don’t wait until the very
last minutes.
It’s good to attend tuition classes for weaker subjects to get extra coaching. Finally. It is important
that you learn to manage your time well. Make a schedule of all your activities and try to stick to it.

I’m not sure when I will be back in school. Did you take some notes?
I was told that there are a lot of things to do for our sports day. is it true that the theme for

parts in order in the boxes provided.

Subject: Sports Day
Hi,
Hope you’re feeling better. Fever can be make your head ache like mad, doesn’t it?
The house meeting was an important one and we finished at 6.30 a.m.! Mr. Azmi, our
teacher advisor chaired the meeting. Of course I took down some notes so no worries.
Yes, the theme this year is Cartoons. How about The Flinstones? Look like we have to pre-
pare the materials needed for the inter-house tug-of-war. For cleanliness, Mr. Naga wants us
to make sure every tent has enough garbage liners to prevent littering and to collect them
after the event. Should be o.k.

Hi Jesseca,
How are you doing? Organising a farewell party for your English teacher is a great idea.
I’d suggest the school canteen for the venue because you can save a great deal od money to
buy him a special gift. In addition, your school is quite far from town. What about getting a
pair of binoculars for him to explore nature?
As for the guests, I think you can invite all your classmates and teachers. Remembers to
takes lots of pictures and share with your English teacher later.

there is a karaoke machine at the restaurant. So after our meal, we can sing karaoke.

like a retro or anime theme.

Hi,
Sure, that would be wonderful. The best place to go camping would be by Cinnamon River.
We could go there by bus and then hike to the river. I have camped there a few times and it
is really enjoyable. We could fish and swim in the river. We could also go jungle trekking
and walk up the nearby hill.
The view up the hill is breathtaking. At night we can sit by by campsite and tell ghost
stories. A few things to bring are tents, mosquito repellent, compass, tinned food and bot-
tled water.

Hi Mala,
I’m fine and hope you are doing great too. I looked it up and I think it would be good to
visit Heavenly Children Home in Sibu. Not many people visit this orphanage.
During your visit, you can have a storytelling or drama session. The children are mostly
very young and they love superhero stories and fairy tales. It would be good if you could
bring them some books and toys. They love presents and they already have sufficient food.

Hi,
Glad to hear from you. I would suggest you study the history of Iban as you live in Sibu,
Sarawak. Your research will be interesting because you can visit to long houses and Sibu
Heritage Centre, museums or even interview the local Ibans to gather data and information
that you need.
You can also take plenty of photos to depict their lifestyle and culture. You may consider
doing video recording too.

Hello Hannah,
I’m glad to know that your sister is coming to Malaysia. As she is an adventurous foodie,
she must give Malaysians’ all-time favourites such as nasi lemak, satay, roti canai, cendol
and other food a try.
Where to eat really depends on your sister’s budget and what kind of experience she wants.
However, I would recommend hawker centres which are widely available, clean and
affordable. They also offer great varieties of food under one roof.
Best regards,

loud nor too soft. Remember to look at the audience. Eye contact is important. Yes, I will be

All you need to buy is a guitar. As a beginner, you can get one below RM 150.00 but if you
have a higher budget then you may opt for a better quality one.

As for activities, you can have a fashion show for the teachers followed by a teacher-student
