Blu-Ray Disc: Samreen Kaur

Blu-ray is a next generation optical disc format that has significantly higher storage capacity than DVDs. It was developed by a group of technology and consumer electronics companies to store high definition video and audio content. Blu-ray uses a blue-violet laser with a wavelength of 405nm compared to the red laser used for DVDs, allowing it to store around 25GB on a single-layer disc or 50GB on a double-layer disc. This gives it up to 4.5 hours of HD video capacity per disc and makes it suitable for storing HD content without loss of quality.
