Mécénat Servier
Mécénat Servier is particularly committed to supporting projects and actions in
the areas of Healthcare, Education, Living Together, Culture. This spirit of social
responsibility is very much reflected in the day-to-day life and work of
SERDIANS. In 2020, Mécénat Servier had launched the Solidarity Leave -
Local to Local pilot project for SERDIA in India, in partnership with Planète
Urgence, an NGO dedicated to international solidarity, sustainable local
development and environmental conservation. Their Mission is to allow
everyone to be active in the
development of their community through their Volunteer and Environment &
Development Programs, by participating in a hands-on missionary project.
At Serdia, one employee was shortlisted in order to pursue a project site that was
based in Pondicherry. The Mission in “People Social Development Foundation”,
was “Training in Microsoft Excel and Word for women’s leaders groups”
At Serdia, we endeavour to walk in the footsteps of Servier and create meaningful
engagement opportunities for our employees through our CSR initiatives, while
creating a positive footprint for the NGOs we support. Serdia supports several CSR
activities which make a difference to the lives of the deprived sections of society.
Serdia has been consistently supporting the following NGOs – charitable contributions made by Serdia under the CSR
Activity.
Reality Gives
REALITY GIVES, an NGO working
towards providing quality education in
English medium for under-privileged
children in Dharavi. Apart from monetary
assistance, Serdia has organised field
visits for its employees to the Royal City
School in Dharavi, allowing meaningful
interactions with the students and faculty.
In December 2019, a group of 40 students
from the Royal City School, along with a
few faculty, were invited to visit the Serdia
head office in BKC. This was a first-ever
kind of thrilling experience for the school
kids to visit not only the BKC business
district, but also a very state-of-the-art
MNC office, where they were given a
simplistic tour of the functioning of all
departments. For Serdians, it was
immensely satisfying to have the little kids
over and watch them display their
knowledge and talents through their
innovative skits.
Gift
GIFT (Girls Inspired For Tomorrow), which
works for the education of underprivileged
girls while providing them with lunch and
shelter during the day. We, at Serdia,
believe in empowering the girl child, and
ensuring that all initiatives are directed
towards a unifying goal of giving every
child a dignified life by providing financial
support towards their betterment and a
brighter tomorrow.

To secure long-term independence and investment capacity, Servier is governed by a foundation, which allows it to concentrate resources solely on therapeutic progress. By being economically successful, the group ensures its growth and continues fulfilling its mission. This structure supports long-term vision and independence from capital markets, enabling sustainable investments in innovative therapeutic solutions .
Servier collaborates with patient associations to create two-way dialogues that lead to co-constructing clinical trials for therapeutic solutions. This collaboration ensures that the trials meet the expectations of patients and that the information provided to participants is clear and understandable. This patient-centered approach enhances the relevance and effectiveness of clinical trials by aligning them with patient needs and improving engagement .
Innovation is central to Servier’s mission to address unmet patient needs. The company focuses on providing innovative therapeutic solutions, particularly strengthening its leadership in cardiovascular and diabetic diseases, while also aiming to lead in fighting cancer, immuno-inflammatory, and neurodegenerative diseases. By daring to innovate, Servier strives to create therapies that significantly differentiate from current options, thereby addressing gaps in medical treatment .
Servier's investment in biomedicines, which are derived from living organisms, represents a strategic move to advance cancer treatment by offering a significant therapeutic advance. By establishing a production unit, BIO-S, Servier bolsters its capacity to produce biomedicines for clinical trials, which reflects a commitment to innovative cancer therapies. This investment aligns with the company's focus on oncology, a priority where R&D investment has significantly increased over recent years .
Servier has expanded its global reach by leveraging in-house skills and forming external partnerships to innovate and adapt strategies to patient needs worldwide. It thrives on cultural diversity by sharing knowledge and experience across its operations and encourages employee mobility to enrich its workforce . This approach not only strengthens its international presence but also ensures that diverse perspectives enrich its global operations.
Servier integrates therapeutic research and production by controlling all stages in the lifecycle of a drug, from research to distribution, ensuring high quality and safety. Its sixteen production sites worldwide adhere to the regulatory standards, while also incorporating R&D activities. This integration allows Servier to produce therapeutic solutions with consistent efficacy across its global reach, thereby maintaining patient safety .
Servier’s governance by a non-profit foundation supports its mission by allowing for full resource dedication to therapeutic progress. This structure promotes independence from market pressures, enabling long-term investment in innovation and maintaining focus on health leadership. The foundation model facilitates ethical collaborations with various healthcare stakeholders, reinforcing its role as a leader in global health solutions .
Serdia fosters employee engagement through platforms like "RiSerdia" that encourage extracurricular activities and talents, creating a connected work environment. Servier combats counterfeit drugs by implementing serialization, aggregation, and unit traceability for drug packaging, which ensures authenticity. It collaborates with customs and health authorities globally to monitor and act against counterfeiting. These measures are crucial for maintaining drug safety and efficacy, thereby protecting public health from potentially harmful counterfeit medications .
Servier's geographical revenue distribution, with significant shares in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, reflects a strategically diversified footprint that supports global growth and market resilience. This distribution correlates with its strategic R&D focus, allowing for reinvestment in innovation tailored to regional healthcare needs, thereby sustaining its therapeutic leadership across diverse markets .
