4. First Aid Measures
After inhalation: Remove to fresh air, give oxygen, and seek medical advice in hospital
After skin contact: Immediately rinse with copious amounts of running water (for 10 minutes). Remove contaminated
clothes. Put on a bandage with sterile gauze, see a physician.
After eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of running water (for 10 minutes), put on a bandage
with sterile gauze, see an oculist.
After ingestion: Rinse mouth, drink plenty of water, see a physician.
5. Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: In case of fire, cool endangered containers with water spray.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: None known
Special hazards by the product itself: Does not burn (aquaeous solution). In case of fire, after evaporation of water
and further heating, SOx can be released.
Combustion products or gases to be formed: SOx.
Additional information: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not inhale combustion gases.
6. Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water.
Process for cleaning and take-up: neutralize with acid-binding material (e.g. powdered limestone) caution: release of
nitrous fumes (poisoning) and carbon dioxide
7. Handling and Storage
Handling: Attention when opening containers: poisonous gases may be accumulated in the air space of containers
Ensure that workrooms are adequately ventilated. When diluting, always stir the product into standing water

General ecological information: This product contains inorganic product. Degradability is not pertinent.
Other information on ecology: In case of discharge of acidic or alkaline products into the sewerage system the pH
must be in the range of 6-10 since higher or lower pH values may damage the sewerage system or impair biological
sewage treatment plants. Local discharge statutes have to be observed.
