Draw The P&ID of A Fermentation Process

The document provides requirements for drawing a P&ID of a fermentation batch process, including key piping and instrumentation details, start up and operational information, control and shutdown schemes, and safety regulations. It specifies that the feed is heated to 130-150°C before entering a 200-liter CSTR reactor where reactants, CO2, and oxygen are added proportionally and mixing is controlled via coolant and steam lines. Product quality is determined by pH measurements and flush lines allow for CIP between batches.

Draw the P&ID of a Fermentation Process

Requirements:
➢ Key piping and instrument details
➢ Basic start up and operational information
➢ Control and shutdown schemes
➢ Safety and regulatory requirements

Process Specification:
The feed of the fermentation batch-process is being heated through a temperature rating of
130-150 ⁰C.
The tank is a CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) with an implementation of 200-liter as
maximum operational value for feeds.
Reactants, CO2 and Oxygen are added proportionally to the feed level.
Control of coolant and steam in a continuous stirring are important to determine the reaction.
To determine the acceptable and satisfaction of the product, pH is determined.
Flush lines are important for CIP (Clean in Place) for batch process.

Sequence:
1. Feed of heated input
2. Additives (reactants, CO2 and Oxygen)
3. Stirring
4. Output
5. Clean In Place (CIP)
