Opening
Hello class, today we are going to learn about recount text. So, class do you have an
experience that cannot be forget? On holiday usually you go to some places that tou want.
Slide 1
You can look this picture. This is about condition that cannot forget in the past. You had
playing with your friend, ride a bcycle or usually you plays a traditional games like bp,
congklak and many more.

Next picture is the experience holiday in Bali. There were many people in there to go to the
beach and some historical places.

I have one story still about the experience with the title is a visit to sheep property. Who want
read the paragraph? Anyone else?

Lets analyze the paragraph from generic structure.
So, lusi how many the generic structure from recount text? Yes three.
Lady what are generic structure from recount text? Orientation, event and reorientation.
Ayu, From this text the orientation is from? Line 1 until 2
Hamdan, The events is from? Line 3 until line 8
Intan, And reorientation is? Line 9
Yes right, we can look that there are event sequence. We can mark the time indicates with
time like first day this is the frst event.
Then rahmi, the second event start from? After lunch........ that the writer shearing the lambs
And the last event is start from? The end of the day......... that the writer help to get the
whethers and lambs back
Usually the recount text is using tenses?yes, simple past tenses. Wafa can you help me to
underline the word using simple past tense?
In this text there are action words like crutched, helped.

Next, I have a task. The task still relate with the text and you have answer the question. You
have 5 minutes to do a task. Start from now. Oke, 5 minutes is done.
So, lets discussed together
The first question : What is the best title for this passage? My holiday
The second question : The text above mainly discusses about? The writer’s trip to Bali
The third question : What the writer do at the last day in Sangeh? The writer had enjoy the
beautiful wave and saw so many monkeys and made a close interaction with them.
So, okey you get the point the whole about recount text? Now, you have to make a story is
about the experience that you can not forget in the past with recount text. I will give you 15
minutes to finish them. You will write the story in this paper.
Because the time is up sonn. So, i will choose one story to discuss now.
We can look the sentence. Does the sentence is right? It should be............
One day, when I was ten years old, my father buy (bought) an old motorcycle.
I got my father’s permission to ride motorcycle.
