Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Isinulat ang modyul na ito upang gabayan ang inyong anak na linangin ang
kanyang aspetong pansarili at pakikipagkapwa, akademiko, at karera. Dinisenyo ito
para sa distance learning o alternatibong pamamaraan ng pagkatuto na hindi
nangangailangan ng pisikal na presensya sa paaralan, bilang tugon sa direktiba sa
pag-iingat dulot ng pandemyang COVID-19.
Hinihiling na basahin sa mag-aaral ang bawat bahagi ng modyul at gabayan
siya sa bawat gawain upang matagumpay na maisakatuparan ang mga tagubilin.
Siguraduhing maisagawa at masasagot ang mga gawain at katanungan (Processing
Questions).

Gawain 1: Pagtulong sa gawain na mailarawan ng mag – aaral ang ibat ibang papel
na ginagampanan pamilya, paaralan, at komunidad.

Gawain 2: Paggabay na masagot ng mag – aaral ang mga tanong ukol sa mga tao
o grupong tumutulong sa kanya upang magawa ang iba’t ibang gawain.

Gawain 3: Pagpapalawak sa mga konsepto kung sakaling hindi ito nauunanawaan


ng mag-aaral.

Gawain 4: Pagtulong sa mag – aaral na makilala ang ibat ibang gawi, karanasan
at kakayahan sa pagbuo at pagpili ng propesyon sa hinaharap.

Gawain 5: Paggabay sa mag-aaral na maitala ang isang mahalagang kakayahan


sa pagbuo at pag-abot ng pangarap na propesyon sa hinaharap.

Gawain 6: Paggabay na maipakita ng mag-aaral sa miyembro ng pamilya na


ikinalulugod ng bata ang kanilang tulong sa pagkilala ng kanyang kakayahan sa
pag-abot ng kanyang propesyon at pangarap.

Hinihiling ng Kagawaran ang inyong suporta upang matagumpay niyang


maisakatuparan ang mga gawaing ito. Tiyakin na sasagutin niya ang bawat
bahagi ng modyul nang tapat. Siguraduhing maipapasa niya ang kanyang
sagutang papel sa petsa at oras na itinakda ng kanyang gurong-tagapayo.

Introductory Message
For the learner:
This module will help you connect the choice of
profession, vocation and future plans to your skills,
competencies, and the role of parents/guardians and
significant persons around you. It will also strengthen the
connection among knowledge, skills, the role of
parents/guardians and significant adults in choosing a
profession, vocation and future plans.
This has six interactive activities for you to follow,
namely:

Let’s Try This – which will help you to get ready to learn;
Let’s Explore This – which will guide you towards what you
need to learn;
Keep in Mind – which will give you the lessons that you need
to learn and understand;
You Can Do It – which will help you apply the lessons
learned in daily activities;
What I Have learned – which will test and evaluate your
learning; and
Share Your Thoughts and Feelings – which will help you
express your thoughts, opinions and feelings.

Make sure to read, think, follow, and enjoy every task


that you are asked to do.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this module, you are expected to:


1. describe your skills, practices and experiences with
their parent/guardian and significant adult;
2. list the importance of family and community
guidance in knowing what you want to become,
and;
3. appreciate the relevance of knowing your talents,
skills, and interests.

Period: Week 7 of 2nd Quarter


Suggested Total Time Allotment: 60 minutes

Materials Needed:
clean sheet of paper
pencil
crayons (yellow, green and red)
3 short bond papers
scissors

Introduction
What do you want to become when you grow up?
Maybe you would like to become a driver, a farmer, a
singer, a swimmer, a teacher, or others? This will be fun
because you will do great things. Your parents will help
you in learning the different jobs so that you can think of
what you want to become when you grow up!

Let’s Try This

Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes

1. Prepare your scissors, bond papers and three


crayons: color yellow, green, and red.
2. Then, cut out heart shapes using the bond papers.
Label each heart as “Home” (use color yellow),
“School” (use color green) and “Community” (use
color red)
3. At the back of each heart, write the things that you
enjoy doing at home, school and community.

Processing Questions:
1. What do you like doing the most?
2. Are there things that you do at home, school and
community that are the same? What are those?

Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes


Answer the following questions on a clean sheet of paper:

1. Who helps you in doing your homework?

Keep in Mind
Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes
Your interest, skills, talents, practices and experience in
life have effects in choosing your future job. You may ask
the help of your parents/guardians in reading this part.
Interest is wanting to know about something you like;
example: playing outdoor games, collecting stickers,
reading books, watching cartoons and many others.
Skills is your ability to do something well like cleaning
yourself, riding a bicycle, coloring, arranging your toys,
playing musical instruments and solving puzzles.
Talents is something that you have naturally or you may
develop like singing, dancing, painting, memorizing and
learning new language, and others.
Practices is the actual use of particular belief, ways, and
activity like waking up early, washing your hands before
and after eating and behaving well during mass or church
service.
Experience includes the things that you personally saw,
heard, felt, tasted or participated in.

Your family has the first significant influence in your life


as a child. Your primary years depend on them because
they are the ones who protect you and provide for your
basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. They are

also the ones who will help you in discovering where you
are good at.

The school on the other hand, provides a formal


education and promotes your physical, mental,
psychological and social growth. It is in school where your
talents and skills are enhanced and developed.

Lastly, the community gives a child like you, a sense of


belongingness and connections to the different units of
professions and career that you may want to have in the
future.

You Can Do It
Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes

After learning concepts from the discussion, do this


activity on your answer sheet. Write whether the following
statements talk about skills, practices or experiences. Then
answer the questions below.

Think of three (3) persons you consider as your
guiding stars who helped you or have been helping you
to develop your talent and skills. On a clean sheet of
paper, write their names, draw a happy face beside their
name and write simple words of appreciation to them.
