I'm

12 years old. My idol is Jerome Polin Sijabat, or Jerome for short.

Who is Jerome Polin? Well, Jerome Polin is a 23 year old

youtuber, internet celebrity, and businessman from Indonesia.


Jerome Polin is mostly famous because of his YouTube channel

“Nihonggo Mantappu”, he makes vlogs of his daily college life

at Japan and also teach people mathematics, Japanese, and

other entertainment.

Jerome was born on 2nd of May 1988 at Jakarta. In 2004, Jerome’s family moved to
Surabaya, East Java. Ever since then, Jerome and his brother Jehian Panangian Sijabat
are raised there with both of their parents. Jerome went to Intan Permata Hati for
elementary and middle school. After finishing middle school, he moved to a public high
school called SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya. He always wants to study abroad since second
grade, but he couldn’t because of the fact his parents’ economy aren’t enough to fulfill
his wishes. So, Jerome always studies really hard and try getting good grades in high
school. After graduating from high school, Jerome began seeking for scholarships.
Jerome was accepted to Nanyang Technological University, but he soon rejected it
because he only got half of the [Link], his brother,
Jehian offered Jerome a scholarship program to Japan E R O
under the name of a Japanese company, Mitsui-Busan.

Jerome passed the test and got into Waseda University at E
Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. He chose mathematics as his
major. Then, he started his YouTube channel back in 2017
and still making YouTube videos until now.

I first discovered Jerome Polin when I watched one of

his videos on YouTube, since then, his videos always

entertain me in my free time or even when I’m sad.

Jerome's videos also has educational element, for

example he put Japanese vocabulary and the meaning

when he’s speaking Japanese for the viewers to know. Jerome also loves to make

videos with his college friends about their journey,

educational purpose and many more, all of them are

exciting

and amusing. But I like when he talks about

mathematics, he explains things very well for me to

easily understand. He also manages his time really well,

he could take care of his business and be active on

social media while doing his college. From his dream to

study abroad and finally able to do it, really motivative

me to do the same. After knowing what Jerome had to

went trough just to be on position he is now, make me

realize that nothing is impossible if you put your heart

and work hard for it. With that, I am also trying to reach

my goals, and study hard.
