Language

The official language for the courses in our university is

ROMANIAN.
We also have theoretical courses in Hungarian language,
because according to our law, the Romanian students who
have Hungarian language as native language have the right
to study in Hungarian.

BUT: for the studio-based courses you can communicate

with the teachers in English. In case a teacher will not be
able to speak English, there are assistants in each
department who will help the incoming students to get the
necessary information for the courses.

The studio-based courses have the following system: the

students receive a theme for practical work/works to be
done. The meeting with the teachers consists in analysing
the student’s approach for developing the practical project
and advises for making a progress and complying with the
requirements of the teachers for the final work/works for
each course. SO: for these courses, the visual language is
the one which is important. There are not necessary too
many words.

For the theoretical courses (art history, philosophy, etc)

the teachers will give a subject for a written paper,
bibliography, and the incoming students could write the
paper in English.

System for the timetable

(the time and place of the courses)

Every department has a separate timetable, available

after 1st of October, each year. SO, the timetable will be
available after the arrival of the incoming students and
they will receive the timetable from the Director of the
department they choose for their mobility.
The timetable for theoretical courses is available for all the
students of the university on our site, after 1st of October,
each year.

Anyhow, keep in mind this system: all the studio-based

courses are held in the morning till 13:00 and the ttheretical
courses in the afternoon, after 13:00 at CASA MATEI
CORVIN.

Each studying year has a classroom. So the students have to

be in the studios every morning and the teachers will come
to the studio they have courses.

More than that: the studio-based courses have a cumulative

system. That means, for example, that the semester begin
with 2 weeks of the studio-based course, than there will be
another course after 2 weeks and so on.
All this details will be available after your arrival at each
department.
Accommodation

All the information regarding the accommodation could be

found on the same page for incoming student in the middle
