• Except as otherwise provided in this Act, every electric plant, industrial plant, or factory,
commercial establishment, institutional building, watercraft, electric locomotive or in any
other installation where persons and properties are exposed to electrical hazards shall not
have less than the following complement of professional electrical engineer, registered
electrical engineer, and registered master electrician:
• (a) Electric plants with total installed generating capacity or any size and employing voltages of any
standard rating- one(1) professional electrical engineer or one (1) registered electrical engineer.
However, for capacities up to five hundred kilovolt-amperes . . .

• - - - that a yearly inspection will be conducted and certified to be in a such operating condition by a

• “This bill seek to introduce several new substances as follow :


• 2). …. the Board examination shall not only cover theories but also
applications.

examinations, registration with the PRC with the PRC as professionals and
taking the professional oathare not enough.”

• “This measure intends to integrate the classifications of electrical


engineers under RA 7920 and provide for only one classification. Existing
professional electrical engineers shall be issued a corresponding Certificate
of Specialty in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Board of
Electrical Engineering for the purpose. Master Electricians, on the other
hand shall be given a two year period to enroll and complete the required
modules on major subjects in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
to qualify and be registered as electrical engineers.”
