need to know… overall winner is a bit trickier. First we’ll work out the average
score for each type of army in the tournament. E.g. The average
scored by the Empire armies, the average scored by the Dark Elf
armies, and so on. The overall winner will be the player that
beats the average for their army by the greatest margin. So, if the
average for your army was 3 points, and you scored 7 points,
then you’d have a margin of victory of 7-3 = 4, and if that was
the highest margin of victory in the tournament then you’d be the
overall champion – huzzah!
The bottom line is that you are, competing primarily against the
other players with the same army as your own, and that you
therefore need to be confident you can do better than them
with the army you bring along. This is all quite
deliberate, and is designed to encourage people
to bring along a wide variety of
nice-looking armies.
However, tournaments are not just
about fighting battles – far from it,
there are lots of other things to do
besides crushing your foes.

Best Roster
When you arrive at the tournament you will be asked to hand

you don’t have to hand one in, but in the case of a tie the
army with the best army roster will win, so not doing so could
be costly! The quality of your roster will be based on how
well presented and entertaining it is. Because of this you may
want to include things like the names of the units and
characters, and a background story for the army.
