The exploitation of land and forest resources by humans has led to the extinction of many species in India in recent times. GIS based methods are useful to identify mapping of area, type, density, deforestation and encroachment, forest management planning and wildlife habitat analysis The purpose of the project is development of a Geomatics based Forest Stock & Wildlife Mapping Inventory System. The scope of the project is Digitization of Forest Stock Maps Integration of attribute data with digital data Generation of the required thematic maps.
