Hazard Source/Reason

Kidnapping Kidnapping is a criminal offense that involves the unlawful

taking and carrying of a person by force, since Brgy. 13 of
Asuncion has a large number of children, and kidnappings
among minors are common in the barangay.

Pet Theft In addition to humans, animals, particularly our pets, are

affected by the risks. Because of the large number of stray
cats and dogs in Brgy. 13, Asuncion, some people adopt or
take these animals in order to sell them without realizing
they are owned by someone and that they most likely fled
from their home and are not stray animals at all.

Hazard Level of Risk Description Remarks

Likelihood
Flooding in the community
is expected to occur.
Recorded incidents are
very high and, based on
1 Flood A Almost certain
anecdotal evidence,
flooding always happens
when there is continuous
rain.
Since fire is a man-made
disaster, it is more likely to
occur again in the future,

has only a few records of
fire incidents, And some
of them have unknown
reasons.
Typhoons are natural
phenomena that we

B. Level of Vulnerability
Table 1. Hazard Identified: Flood

Group Level of Risk Justification

Impact-Description
1 Informal Settler 4 - Major Due to the unsafe structure of housing and
improper location of houses, should floods
happen in their area, it is expected that a
large number of families or individuals will
be displaced.
The long-term impact is expected because
of the uncertainty about the integrity of the
houses.
Fatalities are possible, especially when the
disaster happens without warning.
There is not enough structural support
provided to mitigate the impact of the
disaster.
2 PWD 3-Moderate It will have a major impact on people with
disabilities, pregnant women, and the
elderly, as it will be impossible to determine
if they are still inside the burning facility or
not, especially if they are alone. Due to
their circumstances, they are also expected
to require medical treatment. While the
community as a whole will be affected by
the fire, the barangay may have the
necessary equipment and facilities to serve
as an evacuation center. The outcome will
be determined by the severity of the fire.

Group Level of Risk Justification

Impact-Description
1 Informal Settlers 4 - Major
Earthquakes are unpredictable events. In
this hazard, we may predict that
everyone will require medical assistance,
that the majority will lose part of their
possessions, and that there will be
significant effects or damage. The major
impact may have a long-term effect on
each individual and on the environment
itself. It also depends on the severity.

Table.
