The Santiago City LLCC Inter-Barangay Essay Writing Competition –
College Level
Date: September 22, 2021
Host: Sagana National High School
MECHANICS:
1. This contest is open to college students who are residents of Santiago City.
2. Each barangay must have one (1) representative enrolled this semester in the
colleges/universities outside the city.
3. Participants must register or submit their details/information to the host school via
messenger on September 21, 2021.
4. All registered participants will be included in a group chat for updates and other details
about the competition.
5. The title of the essay will be given on the day of the competition by the LLCC Secretariat.
6. All participants must log in on the google meet /link to be given/sent by the facilitator
on the day of the contest.
7. The judging will be on September 22, 2021, 1;00 pm by the LLCC members.
8. The judges’ decision will be final and irrevocable.
9. Winners will be posted /announced on the official Facebook page of the LLCC.
GUIDELINES:
1. The participants will be oriented online on the guidelines and mechanics before the start
of the contest proper.
2. The participants will use a laptop or computer and submit his/her output within the given
time and being monitored thru a google meet.
3. The competition is online using google link platform, thus; participants are expected to
stay in the link throughout the competition.

4. The participants will be given two (2) hours to finish/compose their essay and must submit
via e-mail.
5. Additional mechanics will be given on the day of the contest.
6. The composition must follow the following format;
a. must be in Letter (8 x 11) format;
b. must have a margin of 1” (Top, Bottom, Right, Left);
c. must have a line spacing of 1.5 (1.5 lines);
d. must have a spacing (Before: 0 and After: 0).
e. The essay should have a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1,000 words.
f. The essay must be saved using the filename format “BARANGAY_NAME_CONTACT
NUMBER”

g. All entries must be sent to [Link]@[Link] and shall be duly
acknowledged by the School Management.
7. Compositions must be original and must follow data privacy and copyright.
8. Failure to comply with the guidelines will automatically be classified as consolation prize
recipient.
