A series of glands producing chemical compounds known as

hormones is what consist the endocrine system. Hormones

essentially function as messengers, guiding and organizing
movements throughout the body. They help control the functions
of your body such as cravings, blood pressure and sexual
interest. It can cause you to become very sick and cause you to
encounter a certain amount of severe health conditions if you
produce too little or too much hormone. Hormones are important
to reproduction and are vital for all your body's processes.
Moreover, hormones can however work a far longer distance and
a much wider range than neurotransmitters. Hormones influence
and affect the behavior by increasing the probability that such
actions will occur in the presence of accurate stimuli. They do so
by influencing the sensory systems of individuals, and other
effectors. For example, when you eat too much sweets, your
pancreas, which regulates blood sugar level, will send a signal to
beta cells which will release insulin to help lower your blood sugar
level. This will eventually help store the sugar as either glycogen
or as fat for later use. Another example, serotonin, a hormone that
is essential for stabilizing our moods and feelings, can affect our
mood in a positive or negative way depending on its level. Lack of
serotonin causes stress and anxiety. However, when there is an
increased level of serotonin in our body, it can bring a positive
change in our mood and behaviors. I think that hormones have
significant effects in our body so it is very important to maintain
the hormonal balance in our body.
