Bel-Ray Anti-Wear Lubricants are high quality, turbine-type oils offered in a broad range of viscosities for bearings, hydraulic systems and light service t;e.ar box applications. These outstanding general purpose oils are formulated for long service life while completely protecting the equipsnent from nrst and corrosion.

/f

Bel-Ray Arnti-'Wear Lubricants offer signifrcant protection, which is a beneht to rztost applications. '1`he MBall Wear Test reported, clearly demonstrates tltis :tcivantage. After a one-hour run with a 40 kg, load, the wear scar is very sniall. A non-treated oil would not carry the load and tnany competitive socalled antiwear oils will have wear scars many times larger.
By using highly refined base oils that inherently have excellent chernical stability, t}hc A3el-Itay Anti-Wear Lubricattts are enltanced with chemical staUilizers that pertnit long service .life.

In apialications experiencing extreme churning and agitation, such as hydraulic ancl gear redttcer, trse Bel-Ray Anti-Wear Lubricants. 1Whea water contatninates the oil, the water repellant property of tlie Bel-Ray Artti-Wear Lubricants causes prompt separation, or standing, for easy rernovaI. The outstanding low tetnperature tlow of the Bel-Ray Anti-VVear Lubrictutts carr often eliminate the need for special oils to combat low wintertirue tenxperatuees. `1'he,sc are tntly luglr quality, general purpose oils, for a broad range of applications,,including: general bearing lubrication, hydraulic systems, rotary comf, ressori ;' Iiglit duty gear reduc.ers (use recomznended AGiMA nurnber), purnp lrearings, heat transfer and circulating systems, and turbines and spindles.

BEL-RAY COMPUVAC OIL SEIttES

Bel-Ray Compuvae OiI Series is specifically compounded to give long trouble- W^ free operation of vacuum pumps and reciprocating compressors. Its use keeps a y compressor clean. Properly functioning machines will operate for years withont cver requiring valve cleaning. A typical oil change interval is 3,OU0 hours. However, it is recommended to establish oil change interval by monitoririg tlze oil condition with lubricant analysis. Often, substantially longer intervals are possible.

^-..

Bel-Ray Compuvac Oil Series is recommended for all types of reciproc,.:iting compressors and vacuum pumps, either stationary or portable. It is recommencled for all service conditions, but its superior performance becomes evident in beavy A. duty continuous service application. Its outstanding lubricity and chemistry assures optimum cylinder performanee.
Hel-Ray Compuvae Oil Series is made from highly refined, chertiically st,tbte, high viscosity index base stock. The compounding includes fortifie:d, higli temperature, ashless oxidation inhibitors that prevent gumming, sludge aucl resirt formation in the valves and working parts of the compressor. 'I'hese ashless inhibitors are carefully selected to impart water demulsibility, foarn inhibition and corrosion resisting characteristics. '1"his mak.es the Bel-Ray Cornpuvac C3il Series superior to the best A.P.I. Servicc M.S. sequence automotive oils approved for compressor and vac.uum purnps. `l hc M.S. oiis tend to emulsify with water to foam and to form hard varnislaes, For vacuum pumps where oil acts as a seal, the higher viscosities are used an rotary and centrifugal eornpcessors and wherever low temperature is a significant faczc?r.

RAYLENE EP LUBRICANTS
Raylene EP Lubrlcauts are versatile, adhesive, extreme pressure lubricants that permit long, trouble-free service life. Their unique formulation combines properties that make them eminently suitable for use in gear reducers, bearings of all types, mist systems, and on catns, ways, roller chains, open chains, and even in hydraulic mist systems. By using these properly blended superior lubricants, it is possible to minimize inventory and duplicity of products, reduce errors, and buy in larger, more economical cluantities.

The high load-carrying and friction-reducing eomponents of Raylene L)F' Luhrirnrif;; reduce wear to a mininium. These properties, measured by the Falex and Tiniken tests reported on Pagc 2 compare favorably with the very best of the generally available gear oils. Most importantly, field experience confirms the reduce wear promise by the laboratory testing. The friction fighting chemistry of the Raylene EP Lubiricants i^: often evident in reduced bearing and gear box temperatures. ln other systems, tlzes reduced energy requirements ean often be measured by reduced amperage drawn by the energy source. The non-corrosive and tbermally stable additive system of the Raylene PP L.ubricants ovcrcome the objections of equipment naanufacturers who caution agaiust using extrenat:+ pressure lubricants. They fully protect the parts from rust and corrosion. Moreover, they Fully proteet for extended periods; for ihe decomposition product of spent oil will not chemically attack the parts. The tacky and adhesive nature of the Rttylene RP Lubricants permit superior lubricatiini retention without inipairing penetrating ability or flow in a hydraulic system. Thi5, assures superior protection for ways, chain and cam applications, as well as assurir.?t, positive lubrication on start-up of gears and bearings after standing idle for sonte tin,e. 5ome of the oil will adhere to the part without entirely draining to the sump or lowes bearing housing. Mist lubrication for different bearing applications is often the solutiori for long bearirig i, 1^ life. Raaylene EP Lubricants, l, 2, & 3, have been used successfully for tnany year+- il'll for this application giving exceptional bearing life. Thermr ' -tabitity assures long 1if", uak o these lubricants. ]t is the lubricant of choice for equipme hat has a comnion suu:l for both the hydraulic system and gearing. ^

tiei-ltay T'enterluhe RL-3 is one of a series of specially formulated lubricants fnr textile lenter frames and related applications. Appticalions _ _* 13earings, chains and conveyors in tenters, drying ovens and curing ovens

Fealtrres and Ben Synthetic 1'ormula F.xtends beating, chain and convey<?r life.
Excellent anti-wear and exuvme pressure properties Minimi-r.es wear atnd recists shock loads.

h Thermal stability

Less carhon residue.

Bel-Ray Tcnterlubc RLJ is the result ol'a developmenL in stabilir.ing heavy-duty lubricants foa^ cperating tc,npcratures up to 246C (47S"p). It is a conibination of synthetic ester Iluid ir itlr the carefully chosen oxidation stabilicers and anti-wear abents. 1'he resuit is this remarkable lubricant for high temperatures.
ftrnong ihe properlies which contribute to its superior performance is its exceptional abil{ty to penetrate ittto the smallest crevices, assuring complete lubrication of all chain parl.e. Funherrttore. this exeeptional fluid is self-cieaning. Irthe chain becomes dry, ieaving n s+n,.,ll amount of residae, when re-applying it acts as a solvent, dissolving its own residue. 'fo properly lubricate a chain, the lubrieant must penetrale to the bearing surfaces of the pin, bushins antt rollers. [ts ability to self-clean and penet-ate guarantees ehain protection.

Bel-Ray Tcntertube RL3 wilt protect the chain from wear, assuring maxintuni ehain lifc, t'hi:, lmti-wcar property, measured by the Falex F,P 1'est listed on page 2, is many tinies higher than niost high ternperalure lubricants and even higher than most heavy-duty gear oils.
The oulstanding lubricity of Bel-Ray Tenterlnbe RL-3 wiil often substantially reduce the frictionai f'orces on chains, resulting in ainarked reduction in amperage draw ofthe drvving tnotor. lJsing an amnieter that wi11 activate the autontatic lubrica, tor is an excelient methoJ oi' eonserving lubricant and assuring properiy protected chains.
