Technology and Environmental Impact

The document summarizes a presentation by five students - Marcia Príncipe, Lyana Cubas, Nicolas Chavez, Benjamin Alarcón, and Luz Celine Sanchez - on the topic of technology. It introduces the group members and defines technology. The presentation discusses how technology has advanced over time and how it will continue to evolve, such as with more intelligent robots and faster sewing machines. The group interviews three scientists who discuss their areas of specialization and perspectives on reducing pollution from advancing technology through methods like creating more durable and biodegradable devices, recycling materials, and developing renewable energy sources.

1. Introduction:

Marcia: Good Afternoon Mr. Vilchez and classmates. Today, My partners

and I are going to present our Oral Production about The Technology.
We are going to talk about how technology is going forward and how
we can help that, without a lot of pollution. My name is Marcia Príncipe
and my partners’ names are Lyana Cubas, Nicolas Chavez, Benjamin
Alarcón and Luz Celine Sanchez. We hope you like our presentation.

Now, Luz is going to start to talk about the definition.

2. Description:

Luz: Well, Technology is the set of scientific notions and knowledge

that is a response to man's desire to transform the environment and
improve his quality of life. It is a broad concept that encompasses a
wide variety of aspects and disciplines within electronics, art or
medicine, such as the creation of robots for the automation of
repetitive tasks or animal cloning as in the case of Dolly, the first
mammalian animal to be cloned from an adult cell.

Marcia: Well, technology doesn’t have a date of birth and many people
think that the technology is only about cellphones and computers, but
the scientists said that technology has been with us since our
inception, because people want to do their thing in a more practical
way.
We used to use stones and metal for many things every day for many
years, and today we use it too, but things are changing, and technology
too, and that is the reason why we want to transform old things for
more easy things, and that's perfect for our generation and for the
future too.
Over time, we have been able to see how we have evolved in many
aspects, from the use of fire, to our cell phones today, but we always
use technology for many things.

Nicolas: The robots: In 2020 the robots will evolve a lot with new
intelligence and talk with humans. The robots maybe are used to some
tasks for example: Clean the house, cook the food and help the
childrens. Sewing machine: This machine evolved with new machines.
This machine was faster than the others and this helps the people and
produces more clothes for the people. The technology is wonderful and
maybe in the future there will be a lot of good things.

3. Conversation:

Luz: Hi everyone. Today in Icpna News , we have 3 very special and

famous guests who are scientists and they will tell us about them and
their advancement to technology.

Lyana: Hi everyone, I’m the scientist Cubas, and I am specialized in

environmental technology.

Nicolas: Hi I’m the scientist Chavez. I am specialized in things about

space.

Benjamin: Good morning, my name is Benjamin, I am a recognized

scientist, specialized in technology advances.

Marcia: It’s a pleasure to have you here. I know technology is an

extensive topic to talk about. Tell us, How did you decide to study or
investigate more about the technology in your camp of work?

Lyana: Well ... I decided to investigate more about technology with the
motivation of seeing an advanced world, in the technological aspect,
improving people's lifestyles, creating ideas to improve communication
between people.

Nicolas: I study about space because I like to share with everyone

about my investigations. Reduce the possibility that something strange
collides with the planet and explore more with telescopes other
planets.

Benjamin: Well my history is based on and starts from my childhood, I

always dreamed of being a scientist. I decided to specialize in the
technological field, where advances in electronic devices are
investigated and made, such as cell phones, computers and more.

Luz: And scientists please, tell us, what do You think about the
advancements of technology in your camp of work, like in nature,
space and electronic devices? Because our entire Icpna News audience
wants to know.

Lyana: I think the advances in nature are very good. I say that, because
I can see how people are being aware of how environmental pollution
can affect the world, that is why we see countries that set standards
for people to take care of the environment, for example, reuse
recyclable bags every time that we go to buy something in a store,
recycle the garbage in different types of trash can, reduce the
consumption of products that aren’t biodegradable.

Nicolas: It's amazing because the advancement helps to progress faster

and discovery more planets and more galaxy also helps to upgrade the
telescope and see further away

Benjamin: These advances can be reflected in the history of cell

phones, for example, these began as huge devices with the sole
purpose of calling people who are close to your location, the result of
the effort and work of other scientists like me, this change greatly,
now being able to write and call all over the world, to be able to make
video calls and to be able to access the internet, games, music, etc.
Marcia: We know that a lot of things that we use on these days harm
our planet. And I know this question is perfect for Ms. Cubas, but I
want to know all the opinions. Tell us, In your own camp of work, How
would you reduce pollution on our planet, without technology stopping
advancing?

Lyana: Pollution on our planet is a very serious environmental problem

in the world that must be solved for the good of our planet and the
lives of our future generations. I think that for technology to continue
advancing, scientists must create technological devices that are
durable like cell phones, computers, laptops, tablets, USB, etc., so
that people use it for a long time and it must also be made with some
products that are biodegradable.

Nicolas: In my opinion, reducing pollution is recycling the objects for

example: The plastic, metal, etc. And transform to new things to use.
To reduce this my advice is to create a rocket with recyclable materials
and use a special fuel.

Benjamin: Some of the research that I carry out is that, a screen could
be made that has a diminished and warm brightness so that it does not
affect, another investigation is that the devices are used or charged
with renewable energy, instead of electricity as we know.

Marcia: Thank you very much for your answers and I hope we can see
each other in another opportunity. Bye. This was ICPNA News.

Thank you so much for your attention.
