INSTRUCTIONS TO EXAMINEES
1. Candidate should write his/her “Roll Number in words” in the allotted space at top of the
cover sheet of the answer script. The “ROLL NUMBER” should also be written in figures in
the box and appropriate circles be darkened of the OMR portion provided on the right hand.
The subject code should also be written in figures in the box “Sub. Code” and appropriate
circles be darkened of the OMR portion provided. Appropriate circles be darkened of the
OMR portion for "MEDIUM" (English/Hindi). Candidate must darken the circles with Blue or
Black ball point pen.
Answer must be written either in English or Hindi as the medium selected at the time of
submitting examination form. Candidates are not allowed to answer by mixing both the
languages, in such case the answer book is liable to be cancelled.
2. The Candidate must not change their allotted seats at the Examination Hall. The answer
script of the candidate who changes their allotted seats at the examination hall are liable to
cancellation.
3. The candidate can avail himself/herself of the exemption granted to him/her. But, if
he/she appears in the subject or subjects in which exemption has been granted, the same is
automatically withdrawn.
[Link] admit card needs to be handed over to the invigilator at the time of signing on the
attendance sheet. The candidates need to collect their admit card at the time of handing
over the answer script to the invigilator. Please check the invigilator has signed in the
appropriate box given on the admit card.
Please remember to collect admit card after submission of your answer script to the
Invigilator.

EXAMINATION RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. The Name / Registration no. / Roll no. of the Candidate and Centre allotted to him/her
must not appear anywhere in the answer book except the allotted portion of the answer
scripts.
2. The Door of the Examination Hall shall be opened each day at 9:30 am in morning session
and 1:30 pm in afternoon session. Each Candidate must take the seat allotted to him/her
before the commencement of each examination. Allowable reading time: First Session 9:45
A.M. to 10:00 A.M Second Session 1.45 P.M. to 2.00 P.M. This time is purely for reading the
question paper and planning by the candidate and not for writing answer. A late-comer is
allowed till 10:30 am in morning session and 2:30 pm in afternoon session only at the
discretion of the Centre-in-charge.
3. Each candidate must produce his/her any one Identity Card (e.g. voter card, driving
license, passport, Aadhaar, any Photo ID card issued by competent authority etc.) or Institute
ID card along with Admit card to the Invigilator or any other person authorized by him before
entering the Hall or at any time during the examination.
Candidates should carry with them (i) Admit Card (please ensure that nothing is written by
Candidate on the admit card) and (ii) Student Identity Card duly issued/authorised by the
Institute / voter card/ driving license/ passport/ Aadhaar card / any Photo ID card issued by
competent authority (any one ID proof) to the Examination Centre every day for establishing
their identity and securing admission to the Examination, failing which they will not be
allowed to enter the Examination Hall. Apart from these, Candidates are allowed to carry the
following to the Examination Hall:
Special Permission/ Letter, received from the Institute granting Extra time or a Scribe
/ Writer or Extra Time and Scribe, if applicable.
Face mask.
50/100 ml sanitizer in transparent bottle.
Stationary Items – Pen (blue / black), Pencil, eraser, ordinary (non-programmable /
not scientific) calculator, scale and other requisite stationery item necessary for
writing examination in a transparent pouch.
Transparent water bottle (however, drinking water will be available at Examination
Centre)
Transparent Examination board.
Wrist watch (which should not have any feature except to display time, day and
date).
4. Specially Abled Candidates are required to carry the Special Permission / Letter, received
from the Institute granting Extra time or a Scribe/ Writer to avail such facility at the
Examination Centre.
5. The admit card is issued, subject to satisfying all eligibility conditions to appear in
December 2022 term of examination.
6. Each Candidate must show his/ her Admit Card and any one photo Identity Card to the
Invigilator/Centre In-Charge/Observer on demand at any time during the course of
Examination.
7. Candidates are advised to find the venue of the Examination beforehand to know about
the exact location so as to avoid any inconvenience and reach in time at the Examination
Centre on the day of the Examination.
8. No Candidate shall be allowed to enter the Examination Hall after 10:30 am in morning
session and 2:30 pm in afternoon session and no Candidate shall be permitted to leave the
Examination Hall before the expiry of two (2) hours after the commencement of
Examination except Medical/any other emergency cases, such candidate needs to submit
his/her answer scripts along with his / her question paper to the Invigilator.
9. Under no circumstances, any request for change of Examination Centres/Seat will be
entertained. The Examination Centre mentioned in the Admit Card will be the final one and
no change in the same will be allowed in any circumstances.
10. In case any Candidate appears at an Examination Centre other than the one indicated in
his/her Admit Card, the Answer Book(s)/ result of such a Candidate may be liable to be
cancelled and also be liable for disciplinary/ legal action(s) as per the law, in force.
11. The seating arrangements of the Candidates shall be displayed on the prominent
place/notice board at the entrance of the Examination Centre. Candidates will find their roll
numbers written against the seats allotted to them at the Examination hall/room.
12. Candidates are not required to appear in the paper(s) in which they have been granted
exemption.
13. Exemptions of paper(s) are valid only for 3 consecutive terms of examinations, starting
from immediately succeeding the term in which the student had secured exemption in the
particular paper(s) by appearance in examination.
14. Candidate found with any book, paper, notes, mobile phone / electronic gadget etc.
(except Admit Card, Identity Card and the examination Time Table) during the examination
or using any unfair means at the examination shall be liable to disciplinary action.
15. Answer to questions shall be given only in the answer books to be supplied at the
Examination Hall. Answers must be written on both sides of the paper. Additional sheets will
be provided to candidates only when the candidate writes out on both sides of the pages of
the answer book first supplied to him/her. Such additional sheet should be signed with date
by the invigilator and number of additional sheets used, to be mentioned on the cover page
of the answer book in the specified box duly signed by the invigilator. When additional sheets
are used those must be securely fastened with main answer book by the candidate.
16. Each candidate must sign the Attendance Sheet and affix the bar-coded sticker on the
space allotted in the answer script each day and for each paper in which he/she is appearing,
and in no case he/she should leave the Examination Hall without signing the Attendance
Sheet. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the relevant answer book liable to
cancellation.

gadgets/device, in any form is strictly prohibited and liable for cancellation of examination.
18. No Candidate shall bring or carry with him/her any Book, Study Material, Handwritten or
Printed Notes, Pieces of Paper (chits), Mobile Phone, Scientific or Programmable Calculator,
Blue Tooth, Laptop, Palmtop, Smart Watch, Health Band or any other
electronic/communication device or gadget in the Examination Hall. The Candidates are
warned to remain prepared that in the event of suspicious behaviour of any examinee in the
Examination Hall/Room/Premises, he/ she would be searched/ frisked to demonstrate that
he/ she does not possess any prohibited/objectionable item(s) with him/her. Non adherence
to the guideline as mentioned will lead to cancellation of examination of the candidate.
19. Personal belongings including mobile phones are not allowed inside the Examination
room. Candidates are advised not to bring valuable personal belongings to the Examination
venue and the Institute or Examination Centre shall not be responsible for arranging safe
keeping of the item(s) brought to the Examination Centre or in case they are lost, damaged
or stolen. No correspondence shall be entertained by the Institute in this regard.
20. Candidates should refrain themselves from spreading rumours and hosting any kind of
material including Examination on social media websites like, WhatsApp, Instagram,
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Telegram etc. Any suspicious activity observed/rumours being
spread, should immediately be brought to the notice of the Institute for disciplinary action.
21. Candidates are warned not to write anything on the Question Paper (except their Roll
Number and tick mark [√] for the questions attempted), Admit Card, Student Identity Card,
etc. and not to take away anything(s)/paper(s) from the Examination Room/ Hall other than
copy of their own Question Paper, Admit Card, Student Identity Card, Scale, Pen, Calculator,
hand sanitizer, water bottle etc. Writing of hints, bullet points, short answers, etc., on
Question Paper is strictly prohibited in the Examination.
22. Candidates shall not seek/ ask for any clarification/ interpretation/ advice on any
question(s)/ Question Paper from the Centre Superintendent/ Invigilators/ General
Observers on duty during the examination. Such Candidate(s) can make a separate
representation to the Institute after completion of Examination on the same day or after the
conclusion of Examinations in its entirety.
23. Follow COVID-19 guidelines as per Govt. rules and regulations as applicable.
24. No Candidate, without specific permission of the Invigilator, shall leave his/her seat
during the course of Examination.
25. Evaluated answer scripts will be preserved for a period of one year from the date of
conclusion of each term of examination.
26. Any dispute arising out of matters of Examination shall be subject to jurisdiction of the
Calcutta Courts.
27. The final decisions related to examination will be taken by the Institute.
