Function Overview
▪ Users can collect data from BACnet MS/TP server.
▪ Hardware interface: Serial Port
▪ Location: Data Center—IO Tag—TCP—choose BACnet IP
EdgeLink Configuration—Add Port
• Data Center—IO Tag—Add Port
• Port Type: Serial (BACnet MS/TP)
• Choose the hardware Serial Port you use
• Other serial parameters
need to match the
server’s port
EdgeLink Configuration—Add Port
• The Station Device ID: the BACnet device ID for
EdgeLink device.
• MAC (0-127): the BACnet MAC address for
EdgeLink device.
• Device Unit Number as: Use Device ID or MAC to
identify the Server in unit number (the device
setting, you can see it in next page).
• Other Parameters you can leave it as default.
EdgeLink Configuration—Add Device
• Devie Type: BACnet Device
• Unit Number: BACnet Server’s device ID or
MAC address.
• Max Property/Request: the maximum tag
counts in one request.

• Add and modify the
address.
• The address format is:

Output, 2-Analog Index of the tag
Value, 3-Binary Input, For example,
in BACnet Server

Example—Scan the Server’s information
• Use 3rd tool BACNetScan to scan the BACnet server that you want to
collect.
• In this example, Device instance is 6. BO0’s present-value is 1.
Example—Add Port
• I use EdgeLink device’s COM2 and will
use Device ID to identify the BACnet
server.
Example—Add Device
• Unit Number: We can see the BACnet
server’s device id is 6 in BACnetScan.
So we set 6 here.
Example—Add Tags
Add BO0 tag. Fill in the address 4.0.85. 4—BO, 0—BO index, 85—Present-value
