III. LEARNING RESOURCES
A. References : Textbook pages, Enjoying Life through Music, Arts, Physical education A. and Health 6 pp.50-53
B. Materials: multimedia, real objects, blackboard
IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
Let the pupils sing the song "Waste Disposal Method" with the tune of Are You Sleeping
Waste disposal, waste disposal,
Proper waste, disposal
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Landfill and composting,
Separation and combustion.
Ask the students:
1. What is the waste disposal methods mentioned in the song?
2. Which of these methods is applicable in our place? Why?
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson
Watch the Video: [Link]
1. Let the class search for garbage/trash/waste that can be found inside the school.
2. Tell the students to list these (garbage/trash/waste) down.
C. Presenting Examples/ instances of the new lesson
Activity:
Guessing Games
The teacher will give clues that the pupils will answer.
Directions: Guess the items/wastes using the given clues.
1. Clue: containers of soft drinks, milk and fruit cocktails. Answer: Tin cans/Cans
2. Clue: newspapers and magazines are made of it. Answer: Paper
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1
Group Activity
Group the pupils into 4.
 Each group must have a leader and a reporter
 The reporter will explain to the class the output of the group
 Role card may be used if appropriate

a. The teacher will provide a box with different recyclable materials inside.
b. Each group will get 2 materials in the box.
The group will be given time to explain how these things can be useful again.

How can we benefit from recycling wastes ?
What other ways can we do to lessen our wastes?
F. Developing Mastery
Directions: List the recyclable items that can be found in the picture.
