SCENE ONE: OUT. SCHOOL CAR PARK - DAWN

EVA (V.O): School. The definition of hell. Every day

of every year a group of people all meet
up in one place and leave miserable.

MUSIC: CALM AND SUBTLE

EVA (V.O): The only thing keeping this school going

is the wandering mystery that it’s
secretly haunted. I wouldn’t doubt it,
some of the teachers even left because
they apparently saw something.

SOUND: BUS ENGINES, PEOPLE SPEAKING, BELL

RINGING, DOOR OPENING, FOOTSTEPS ON TILES

SCENE TWO: INT. SCHOOL HALLWAYS - DAWN - CONTINUOUS

EVA (V.O): However, that still doesn’t stop the fact

I don’t want to be here.

SCENE THREE: INT. CLASSROOM - DAWN - CONTINUOUS

SOUND: DOOR OPENING, BAG RUSTLING, CHAIR

SCREECHING, SITTING DOWN
 MR SMITH: Welcome back guys, I hope you had a nice
weekend. To start today off we are taking
a quiz. Now I know that tonight is
Halloween but right now you’re in school
so, I need you to turn your thinking caps
on.

SOUND: FOOTSTEPS, PAPER SHUFFLING

MR SMITH: Starting now, you have thirty

minutes, good luck.

SOUND: CLOCK TICKING

MR SMITH: Times up, I will now collect your

papers which then you are allowed to
leave.

SOUND: PAPER RUSTLING, FOOTSTEPS, CHAIR

SCREECHING, DOOR CREAKING

SCENE FOUR: INT. SCHOOL HALLWAYS - DAY - LATER

SOUND: RUNNING ON TILES, PEOPLE TALKING.

LILY: Eva! Are you doing anything tonight?

 EVA: No? I don’t think so, why?

LILY: Perfect! Leo will tell you, he’s in the

canteen.

EVA: Right…Okay then.

SCENE FIVE: INT. SCHOOL CANTEEN - DAY - CONTINUOUS

LILY: I can’t find him when this place is

full of people, let alone it stinks.

EVA: Found him.

SOUND: FOOSTEPS, TALKING, SITTING DOWN, BAGS RUSTLING.

MUSIC: CALM AND SUBTLE

LEO: Did Lily tell you about our plan yet?

EVA: What plan?

 LILY: Well since it’s Halloween and we know
you're into the supernatural…we’re staying
overnight!

MUSIC: CALM AND SUBTLE BUT DISTURBING

EVA: What. How the hell do you expect to pull

that off, let alone people say it’s
dangerous.

LEO: Well, I’ve been staying late and I see

that the janitor always leaves at ten to
six, which it’s that exact time every
day.

EVA: Yeah, not like that’s creepy at all Leo.

LEO: I scouted out a small cupboard that we can

stay in until he leaves, then we can
finally find out if the rumours are
true.

EVA: Okay, but you haven’t considered if we get

caught after.

LILY: If we just don’t say that we took the

proof then it could be anyone, plus the
cameras have been broken ever since that
power cut randomly last week.
 EVA: Okay okay fine, but I’m only doing this
because I want to find out if ghosts
really do exist and these aren’t just all
lies to scare us.

LEO: Sounds like a plan then, meet me outside

Mr Smith’s class at 3:30, I already got us
equipment.

LILY: Like actual ghost hunting stuff?

LEO: No, of course not. I’m not rich.

EVA: You sort of are.

LEO: That’s beside the point. I’ll see you two

later.

SOUND CHAIR SCREECHING, FOOSTEPS, BELL RINGING

SCENE SIX: INT. OUTSIDE MR SMITHS CLASS - EVENING - LATER

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING

MUSIC: SUBTLE BUT SUSPENSFUL

 MR SMITH: Eva? What are you doing out here still?
Did I forget to give you your homework
again?

EVA: Oh, no I’m just waiting for Leo and Lily,

we’re walking home together.

MR SMITH: That’s good. Well I hope you enjoy

Your Halloween Eva, and make sure to stay
in a group.

SOUND: FOOTSTEPS

LEO: What did sir want?

EVA: Just wondering why I was outside his

class.

LEO: Right, anyways let me show you the

cupboard, Lily is already there.

SCENE SEVEN: INT. OUTSIDE THE CUPBOARD - EVENING - CONTINUOUS

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING, FOOTSEPS, BAG RUSTLING, FAINT

FOOTSTEPS

MUSIC: SUBTLE AND CALM

 LILY: It’s quite cramped in here
Leo, couldn’t you have found something
more spacious.

LEO: If I did no doubt, it would be locked

And we’d be stuck, let alone caught.

EVA: It’s fine guys, we just need to pass

three hours.

LEO: As soon as the janitor leaves, we can go.

SCENE EIGHT: INT. HALLWAYS - NIGHT - LATER

SOUND: FAINT FOOTSTEPS, DOOR CREAKING, KEYS RUSTLING

LILY: Is he gone?

LEO: Sounds like it.

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING, ECHOES

MUSIC: SUBTLE BUT SUSPENSFUL

EVA: We should probably stay together, it’s

quite dark.

LILY: How are we going to find this

ghost then, it won’t just pop up out of
nowhere.
 LEO: The science class on the
second floor. I’m guessing since our
old science teacher left.

EVA: That’s a start then, lead the way.

SOUND: FOOTSTEPS, DOOR CREAKING, ECHOES

LILY: I didn’t realise how creepy this room

was.

LEO: That’s the whole point.

EVA: Maybe we shouldn’t stay here-

SOUND: METAL DROPPING

MUSIC: SUSPENSFUL

LEO: What was that?

LILY: I’m leaving!

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING

EVA: Lily wait! We shouldn’t split up-

 EVA: Lily?

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING

EVA: Leo? Don’t tell me this is happening-

LILY: (SCREAMS)

MUSIC: FAST PACED AND SUSPENFUL

SOUND: FOOTSTEPS RUNNING

EVA: Lily!?...(GASP, PANICKED) Oh my god!

LILY: (SLOWLY DYING) Eva...you need

to run, she’s coming.

EVA: I can’t leave you like this Lily,

there's a fucking knife through
your chest!

LILY: Find Leo and leave, don’t follow the

humming, otherwise-

DOROTHY: (HUMMING SOFTLY)

EVA: (WHISPERING)Shit...

SOUND: ECHOING FOOTSTEPS

SCENE NINE: INT. HALLWAYS/CLASSROOM - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS

LEO: (WHISPERING) Eva! In here!

SOUND: DOOR SHUTTING QUIETLY

EVA: (PANICKED) Lily...S-She had...a knife

in her chest... She died right...in
front of my eyes.

LEO: Lily’s dead...? So that explains what

the screaming was-

EVA: If you didn’t make us stay here,

we wouldn’t be in this mess!

LEO: Don’t blame this on me! You guys agreed!

EVA: Well, we have to find the exit, no doubt

whatever killed Lily will be roaming
by there.

LEO: Let’s make it fast...I’m not staying

here any longer!

SCENE TEN: INT. HALLWAYS - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS

SOUND: DOOR CREAKING

LEO: We just need to get to the

stairs, luckily, we can unlock the
main doors from the inside.

DOROTHY: (HUMMING)

EVA: Do you hear that...?

 LEO: Sounds like it’s just around the corner,
let me see.

EVA: Wait, don’t!

SOUND: STABBING PUNCTURE, LEO SCREAMING, FALLING TO

THE GROUND

MUSIC: SUSPENSFUL

EVA: (PANICKED) Leo!

DOROTHY: You’re next...

SOUND: BONES CRUNCHING RUNNING FOOTSTEPS

EVA: The exit!

SOUND: DOOR SLAMMING OPEN, EVA TRIPPING OVER AND

BODY THUDDING

DOROTHY: (GRABS EVA’S LEGS)

EVA: (SCREAMING)

SOUND: EVA’S BODY BEING DRAGGED BACK INSIDE, DOORS

SLAMMING, FAINT STABBING NOISES

SCENE TEN: INT. SCHOOL CANTEEN - DAY - YEARS LATER

SOUND: PEOPLE TALKING, CHAIR SCREECHING

MUSIC: CALM TO SUSPENFUL

KID 1: Hey guys, apparently these three students
disappeared here five years ago, I think
their names were Eva, Lily, and Leo.

KID 2: What about them?

KID 1: I say we investigate and find out

the truth behind the rumours.
