User Account Creation


Ways to Create Microsoft Azure Cloud Account :

There are multiple ways to create account but the thing we have to
keep in our mind that we must have any one resource amongst all
mentioned below :
- Credit Card
- College/University is a partner of Microsoft Academy
- GitHub Student Developer Pack
- College Verified Email Address
But availability of such things might not be possible for everyone.

Azure signing up won’t accept the debit cards (Rupay /Mastercard


/ Visa ) . It works with some accounts like Kotak 811,RBL etc.

Hence for the learners Microsoft offers some labs so that the
beginners can start learning along with the practical
implementation.

Program named as ‘Microsoft Learn’ which provides us some


Microsoft products in the form of sandboxes for practice &
learning purpose and from there we can get the Azure also.

Steps to enable Microsoft Azure Labs using Microsoft Learn
option :
This process provides Azure labs in form of Sandboxes with
limited features & resources.
Hence try to create root account & use this method only when
unable to create the Azure Root account.

1. Open Google Chrome or any browser and search for

2. Click on the ‘Learn’ option .

3. Now click on ‘Products’ option & it will get expanded to a
drop down menu & then click on the ‘Azure’ option to open
it.

4. After opening of ‘Azure’ option you will see an option
named ‘Browse all Azure Learning Paths’. So go and click
on it to open that option.

5. On opening we will see the catalogue of some official
overview of some of its services. And you will observe that
there must be any filter applied to sort the services.

Hence first we will clear that filter just by clicking on the


option ‘Clear All’.

6. Now you are able to see the complete catalogue.

7. Now suppose you want to use service named ‘Virtual


Machine’ then we go to search bar & search for it .

8. In the same way you can search for all the services which
you want to use.

For Example:- In my case I want to use an Linux Virtual


Machine on Azure.

Then we select that respective option and click to open it.


After clicking on it we will get the content of that course & a
Start button.

Here in the first block we are able to see 2 types of content i.e.
Normal & Exercise Based.
Exercise based option provides us the labs only.
Hence go and open any one Exercise option just by clicking on it .

And we get the page something like this

Here it states that this module requires sandbox access to Azure


resources without subscription.
It is used for training purpose only. Using it for other reason is
prohibited which may result to permanent loss of access to
sandbox.

To confirm this select ‘Sign in to activate sandbox’ option.

After clicking on it they ask for the Microsoft account credentials
i.e. Username & Password.

Hence login to the Microsoft account using the same.

9. After successful login it will ask for email & country so
select it accordingly and then do next.

Now it will ask for your role select it accordingly to you and then
do next.

Then it ask for level select it as beginner & do next.

And then again it ask for product name so select ‘Azure’ in it & do
next.

Now our profile is ready & good to go.

Now click on ‘OK’ and proceed to next step.

In next step they are checking for sandbox availability & will ask
to activate when availability is done .
So click on ‘Activate Sandbox’ option.

After clicking on it it will start the permission verification process


& will finally ask to review permission.

Now click on review permission option.
Then accept all the permissions.
After accepting it , they will assign sandbox role to you.
After successful assigning it will prompt that the sandbox is
successfully activated.

Click on the ‘Azure Portal’ option inside second block to redirect
towards Azure Portal.

It will successfully launch Azure Portal for our usage.
To verify user we can see that ‘Microsoft Learn Sandbox’ user is
logged in here.

Note :
- It will be automatically closed after the allotted time.
- Use that courses that has exercise content so that you can use
the labs & perform practical.
- Start the courses carefully with proper service name.
