Magenta Top

This document provides the instructions for making a Magenta Top. It uses Duna yarn and knitting needles sizes 7/4.5mm and 8/5mm. Duna - 4 balls color #6133 Make 2 identical panels.
Knitting needles 7/4.5 mm and 8/5 mm CO 102 sts onto needles 8 and follow
Tapestry needle Pattern - chart 1 and rep sts (1 edge
Measuring tape & scissors st, 11 motifs, 1 edge st). At 10.25” start
1 camisole to wear underneath neckline shaping: BO the central 12
sts and work sides separately (45 sts
Disclaimer on each side). Dec 1 st on the neckline
Measurements are approximate due to side every 2 rows (6x). At 17.75” from the
differences between centimeters and beginning BO the remaining 39 sts of
inches, needle sizes and tension (gauges). each shoulder.
All care has been taken to allow accurate
completion of the pattern. Sleeves (mk 2)
CO 140 sts onto needles 8.
Mk 4 rows in Garter st (chart 2) and then
work in Stockinette st (chart 3). At 3.25”
from the beginning mk one dec row:
Stitch glossary and abbreviations: k2tog (70x) = 70 sts onto needles.
st: stitches
CO: cast on Assembly and finishing
BO: bind off Use tapestry needle and Duna to close
rep: repeat left shoulder (8”), leave right shoulder
mk: make open to make collar.
dec: decreases Collar: Use needles 7 to pick up 114 sts
inc: increases around neckline and work in 1x1 Rib st
RS: right side (chart 1) and rep sts up to 1.5”. BO all sts
WS: wrong side with a tail (approx. 15.75”). Insert this tail
K: knit into tapestry needle and close collar
P: purl (1.5”) and right shoulder (8”). Close sides
SKP: sl 1, k1, pass sl st over. (10.25”), leave 7.5” open for sleeves.
Pattern - follow chart 1. Close sleeves (3.25”) and sew them onto
Garter st - follow chart 2 body.
