2 Introduction
Here, student will give brief description about the state of education in India viz.,
national literacy rate, literacy rate in various states can also be taken, literacy rate
in male and female, literacy rate in urban and rural area, number of universities,
colleges and different types of schools in their state, policies initiated by the govt.
to promote education.
3 Objectives of the project
a) To find out whether the literacy rate is more in urban area or rural area.
b) To find out the literacy rate among male and female.
c) To find out which section of the society (on the basis of the income level) is
more literate.
d) To know the contribution of govt. and private schools separately.
e) To find out the percentage of income spent on education on their children.
f) To find out the education level of the sample of study.
g) To find out the number of children attending school (net attendance ratio).
h) To find about awareness amongst the sample regarding various
governmental schemes for the promotion of education like Beti Bachao Beti
Padhao, mid-day meal, sarv siksha abhiyan, RTE etc.
i) To find out the distance of school from home.
j) To find out the level of education available in the school.

Using above mentioned data student shall prepare percentage bar diagram.
9 Conclusion of data
On the basis of the above drawn simple bar diagram, multiple bar diagram,
percentage bar diagram, sub-divided bar diagram, histogram and pie-chart
following conclusions can be derived:
1) In general the literacy rate is more in urban area as compared to rural area.
2) The literacy rate in male is more as compared to female.
3) On the basis of information available people having higher income are
more literate.
4) In rural sector, govt. schools and govt. aided schools are contributing more
whereas in urban area private schools are contributing more in education.
5) In rural area few families are aware about various govt. schemes related
with promotion of education as compared to urban area.
6) More distance of school from home is also a reason for low literacy rate
amongst girls.
7) Low level of income is also a hindering factor in achieving high literacy rate.
