The computer can also be used for watching educational films. We shall be watching two short clips today.
- The first one is a story: The ant and the dove
- The second is a spelling bee. You will need a sheet of paper to write the words you will hear.
STORING INFORMATION
Information not saved on the computer cannot be retrieved (gotten again). It is very important to save the
texts that you have typed on the computer.

IT is the abbreviation for Information technology. It is gotten from the word ICT which means Information
Communication technology.
The devices that are used in the ICT world are known as IT devices.
Examples of IT devices are:

GSM and Smartphones
GSM is an acronym for Global System for Mobile Communication. It is an IT device and has various types
such as: android phones and table phones.
A smartphone is a developed type of mobile phone that has more functions than GSM and other basic
functions of a computer.
Smartphones are used for:-
i. making and receiving calls
ii. sending and receiving messages
iii. playing music and watching movies
iv. registering contacts
v. sending and receiving emails and texts
vi. creating photos and videos, etc.

An organizer is an
electronic device that store information like names, addresses, phone numbers, dates and time of meetings.

5. Setting goals and tracking achievement of goals.

Three basic parts of the hard ware components are:
1. Input devices,
2. Output devise, and
3. System unit
Input devices are parts of the computer used to

etc. They are used for telling the computer
what we want it to do.

1. In the thumbnails on the left pane, select the slide you want your new slide to follow.

3. In the Slides section, select Layout, and then select the layout you want from the menu.
