REFLECTION ON SCHOOL BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
Date: February 7-9, 2023
Every endeavor must offer something to learn from, adjust to, and think about.
Particularly in these "NOW NORMAL" times. In order to improve the teachers' knowledge and
comprehension, San Luis National High School held its yearly In Service Training (INSET). The
theme of our daily INSET seminar is: “Boosting teachers’ Resiliency and adaptability in the now
normal.” The ICT Based Integration on the Teaching and Learning Process was the aspect of
the Training that most surprised me on the first day. For us teachers, it was a difficult job
because it required us to be experts in the subject matter as well as integrate it into other
subjects. It also broadened our perspectives on how to help our learners succeed. Furthermore,
they also discussed about the significance of a thorough test design and a specification table.
When designing a good TOS, we should keep in mind the Bloom’s taxonomy in general.
Therefore, I think that our first day's seminar was very fruitful and significant.
The morning session on the second day was highly educational. SDO Pampanga's
resource speaker was here today. Meeting a dynamic and passionate leader was a great honor
and privilege. We learned about professionalism and code ethics from Mrs. Pineda. She
reaffirmed the Do’s and Don'ts of being a professional teacher and how to maintain good
relations with our learners, parents, and the community. Additionally, we addressed the issue of
promoting positive discipline in our students. The patience, compassion, respect and care we
have for our learners as teachers must develop.
Our third day was excellent and will be remembered. seeing the happiness on my co-
teachers' faces, particularly in the Science and Math Department. I gained a lot of knowledge
regarding the finest teaching methods used by my co-teacher in their daily lessons, as well as
how we may incorporate RASA BASA into our Daily Lesson Log. On that day the word Diversity
caught my attention. This word refers to the variety and individual differences of each person.
As educators, we must develop interpersonal skills, especially in regard to our students' needs.
We must expand our passion for teaching. This in-service training for teachers expanded our
understanding of the crucial responsibilities that teachers play. I therefore come to the
conclusion that I am fortunate because I educate. Because Teaching is the one profession that
creates all other profession.
