make sure that fully understand how you should be thinking about the analysis of the
case study “GROUP ASSESSMENT CASE STUDY - The Aviation Industry in the
Middle East”

Assignment Content
On first reading of the Assignment Case Studies – what are the key thoughts that occur
to as the issues facing the Arline industry?
Having read all the pieces and having had the benefit of hindsight, what do you think
about the impact of the Internet on Industries and Strategy? Who is right?

As we discussed in the first group session – you will need to think about the extent to
which you can use the key concepts we discussed in the course. Look at the slides
covered in the course and think about how the underpinning ideas and theories might
help you develop your understanding of the issues raised in the case.

Key topics covered in each session:

Suggestion:

1. Make a list of the key topics and ideas discussed in the course. As you
progress through the week you need to be clear how you will use these
ideas in your analysis of the Case Study.

Finally, before moving from your group environment to focus on the individual
assignment.

Prepare 1 page executive summary: Identify the problem in the case assigned, provide
a proposed solution and explain the rationale for such solution.

Group Presentation 30% of the total marks for the course.

Assignment Content

Please note that only one submission per group will be accepted so make sure you
agree amongst yourselves as to whom will submit.

The material you will use for the group presentation are based on the case assigned to
your group as detailed in MyAberdeen. As part of the course activities, you will need to
lead the discussion for the case assigned to your group. Once the session is over your
group will need to record a 5 mins presentation using “record a slide show with narration

feature” in PowerPoint. In brief, first your group leads the session on your assigned
case.

Using what you have learned from your classmates and during delivery week, you
prepare a presentation and record voice on it, then upload the presentation to
MyAberdeen 9am Sunday.
