Metal Distortion Patch for G71UT

This patch is designed for metal guitar distortion. It uses a compressor, wah/effects pedal, overdrive, and EQ settings to produce a thick, crunchy, and heavy distortion sound suitable for playing many metal bands and styles. Adjusting the mid control higher will produce a tone similar to John Petrucci or Synyster Gates. The patch was created for an Epiphone LP Standard Plus guitar through a Fender Frontman 25R amp.

Patch settings for G71UT

Preset-/Songname: Artist:
Distortion Many metal guitarists
Description:
This are the common settings for metal distortion. Thick, crunchy, round and heavy, but not too much, like
many other patches around. You can play with it many songs of many metal bands, from Dream Theater,
HammerFall and Linkin Park and up to Lamb Of God, Trivium, Devine Heresy, COB, Opeth, Death and many
more. If you put the middle up to 5dB, you'll get a sound more like John Petrucci and Synyster Gates.
*The
PDL1 is supposed to be Frequency, PedalVox.
I use an Epiphone LP Standard Plus and a Fender Frontman
25R amp, with this settings: bass-3,mid-7,treble-6. The ENERGIZER settings: TUBE-6.5, BOOST-3.75
