1710-2690 / 1710-2690 MHZ MHZ: Xxpol / 65° Az 18.0 / 18.0 Dbi

This document summarizes an ultrawideband dual polarization antenna with 4 connectors and variable electrical tilt between 0 and 12 degrees on each antenna. It is available in manual and remote electrical tilt versions. The antenna operates between 1710-2690 MHz with a gain of 16.9-18 dBi. It has a 65 degree azimuth beamwidth, greater than 30 dB isolation between arrays, and supports up to 160W per port. Key specifications including dimensions, weight, wind load ratings, and electrical downtilt range are provided.

Electrical Downtilt Control

Electrical downtilt is controlled separately for each array. The tilt indicators are covered by a removable transparent cap.
Manual control: A knob at the end of the tilt indicator allows change of the tilt without need for a tool. The marking
pattern (AISG compliant) printed at the bottom of the antenna shows the mapping between tilt control and internal arrays.
To access the knob or to read the downtilt angle, the cap is removed by turning it counter clockwise. It is re-installed by
opposite rotation.
Remote control: The remote control of the electrical tilt is managed by a module (MDCU) totally inserted at the bottom of
the antenna. One single module controls individually the tilt of each array (no need of daisy chain cables between the
actuators). For RET control, the transparent cap must be in place and locked.
The MDCU module does not add any additional length at the bottom of the antenna. The tilt angle indicator stays always
visible and the antenna still has manual tilt control (manual override).
RET module part number (only one needed per antenna) :
MDCU-A0000 For AISG1.1 protocol (one unit included in 6177100A)
MDCU-G0000 For 3GPP/AISG2.0 protocol (one unit included in 6177100G)
An antenna ordered as a RET version is delivered fitted with its factory pre-commissioned MDCU module. It is fully RET ready
and does not need any further action at installation step to become operational.
An antenna delivered as MET can be easily upgraded to RET by simply plugging the MDCU module into the antenna.

Installation
Do not install the antenna with the connectors facing upward.

In order to operate RET control, the transparent caps

covering the tilt adjustment indicators must be
engaged and locked. Do not cut them from the
antenna.
